Well,what are you gonna use?

I use Proboards.

But I recomend Invisionfree,like H.H,they give 16MB or so,Proboards only gives 100KB or something like that unless you buy more,than you get 20MB or something like that

btw what are codes and hacks for and im kinda having some trouble :(

thats cool i'll help you.. after all i helped bdx right..

codes and hacks are basically for customizing your board

for example, there are some codes that stop people from double posting,

and there are also some that change the width of your board.. for example..

my board is narrower than this one because i used the "change board width" code found on invisionfree's support board..

and if you look in the info center, you will see that the names of the groups and the colors of the groups are there as well..

here, i used a code that puts an info box on top of the board, that shows various bits of information about the forum, and links to get quick access to common areas..

i also added a code here that adds an extra area to the info center, so that we can use it to display the contest winners, winning entry and advertise their site.

you can use codes and hacks to do various things to your board.. it all depends on what you want to do..

also.. invisionfree will be undergoing a MAJOR upgrade soon, and we will be getting more than 100 new features, and so some of these codes wont even be necessary because the upgrade will already have these features.. :)

To create a category:

Go to your ACP > Forum Control > New Category

Then put in your name and click "Create this category"

To create a forum:

Go to your ACP > Forum Control > New Forum

Put in your name and from the list on top, choose the category that you had just created..

Next you have to choose on whether or not you want to allow html in posts, turn on quick reply or allow ubb code, etc..

then scroll down..

and choose which groups you want to be able to read, start topics, upload, and post in that forum..

it should look something like this:
