There is no such an option here but you could do whole game with midis, and create a downloadable pack fo mp3's to be replacements for those who want.

could you pick at least on song for each person that can be liked in you game

like i would like to hear something like "Lean with it Rock with it"

hmm i say, mp3s are better quality however they sometimes do not loop as good. but i think the longer download times will be worth it, so i say use mp3s.

as for a theme song if i could have one it'd be:

If I had a theme song it'd be Wake me up Inside by Linkin Park & Evacanse (or however you spell it,I'm not a genius.)

The AC version of One Winged Angel? I'd think that more of a Sephiroth theme but, eh you never know.

However, my theme is a MIDI that I submitted so if there were MP3s, which like VZ said would be worth the wait, I'd have ME THE ENEMY by Magna Fi, either that or the classical Live and Learn.

no, the sephiroth theme's name is "Sairin Kata Tsubasa no Tenshi". The "Saranai Tatakau Mono Tachi" is a remixed version of the FF7 boss battle theme.

though Gameshrk90, ultimately it is your choice, though one suggestion i can offer is: maybe you could finish the one version with midi's and some mp3s (as the themes for the characters) then for the users who want all mp3s have a secondary version made with all mp3s? what would you say about that?
( also with a bit of compression and editing, the music might not take as much space as you think, though it will definitly take more than if all midis would be used. for example the song "Saranai Tatakau Mono Tachi" could easily have the quality reduced to 64 kbits and still sound decent, it would driop the file size by a good percent, though i'm not sure of the exact number. )

I can make MP3 files up to 560kbs but that's it. Still working on my conversion

Let's just say you'd have to start in the morning, go to school, come back and sleep, wake up and go to school again before you could play.

uh what speed of a download is that? (dial up?, or high speed connection)

(for me i normally run about 200-250 kilobytes download speed- more when at school.)

so that file would have to be in the gigabytes range...

i have a question how much longer do we have to wait to play the game, are you close to being done yet, have you been working on it or just getting all the characters together

Well that'd be bad for me. My dad set time restrictions so my brothers and I aren't up all night. So my download would shut off before I was finished unless it was Friday or Saturday.

I would say both of them Gameshrk90......at least that's how i'm doing in my game......but hey.......midi musics are very good....and RPG Maker have very good ones i might say............like i said i prefer a little bit of both but if you say that mp3's take a lot time to download.....then i think you should stick with midi......but hey it's your call.......so you do what you think it's best for the game........

Maybe one ore two Mp3's and there's going to be one more demo release before the actual one comes through. It might be awhile though. So none of you abandon the forum ok?

I don't have plans to abandon this place any time soon. Unless all the members suddenly go break*heart cracks to billions of pieces* and I have no warning of it, or notification of what exactly happened I won't leave here.

but if the mp3s were compressed they wouldn't use as much space and they'd still sound better than midis. (plus how big is the project as it is?)

Well... This game has alot of stuff going towards it and i think you should sort it out and get the awnsers yourself... And then once you've finished give us like a preveiw or soming and we can tell you the good things and bad things about it!

If only games were that easy.

i really can't wait for the game to be done, every day i get on the internet looking for a new demo or something, i usually know inside something telling me that nothing has changed but i cant help but check whats new every day

Your'e right Gameshrk90........making games is not that easy has it looks.....it takes a lot of our free time to do it........you must have a patience of a saint if you're doing the game all by yourself..........
