My Dad dragged me somewhere I REALLY didn't want to go, so as far as I'm concerned, I already gave him a gift for father's day.

The only reason I'm on right now is because I'm at my dad's for father's day, I don't make cards that well so I bought one with my step-mom's money :idontknow: .
Dr.Tails - June 19, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
my whole family signed a card and gave it to him, we didn't do anything special for him thought
How come fathers day gets less recognition than mothers dad, some people just forget about the fathers
yeah now i can't want to be one when i grow up
Black Angel - June 19, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
i went to americangreetings.com and made them that way.. my mom printed them up (since mine is broken and she has the card stock..) and i wrote a personal note in each of them and mailed them out..

i think it is because the mother does the most work when it comes to raising and taking care of us.. even if both parents were equally involded in raising us, the mother always has it rougher because she carreid you for 9 months and then gave birth to you.. and then there is the nursing, and changing your diapers.. because lets face it, most men dont know how to do that..
not only that, most men/father's tend to have a passive-aggressive attitude when it comes to their responsibilities while the child is young.. 8/10 it is the mother who gets up for the 2 am feedings, singing the child to sleep, and changing its diaper.. not the father.. but they usually step up once that child becomes a toddler.. and/or isn't as dependant on the mother like they were when they were newborns.. :)

yah it "breast feeding". but some people bottle there ,ilk and the dads like cuddling with there child. dads are the coolest to boys couse they help us out with boy stuff...

whether they are being breast fed or not doesn't matter, more likely than not it is the mother who has to get up to feed the child.. working mothers bottle their breast milk.. so what? if you have a working mother (whose milk is bottled) and a stay at home dad, and the child starts crying in the middle of the night, who do you think will get up to feed it? 8/10 it is the mother.. and if the father is awake, i can guarantee you that he will wake her up to feed/change the child..
oh and fyi, most mothers bottle their breast milk at night before going to bed.. why? so that the father will be able to feed the child if and when it starts crying at 2 a.m. because he its hungrey... therefore nixing any excuse for the father to not get up to feed the child.
