Sorry guys but Sonic can only run up to speeds that surpass Mach 1 whilst The Flash can run at the speed of light. My friend can run half the speed of smell.

i'd say sonic, sure both can exceed the sound barrier but once flash hits top speed he has no way to get faster, once sonic hits top speed he can speed up further by going supersonic to take his speed to even higher levels.

(flash's top speed is 700mph, sonic's top speed before going super is 761mph)

however there is a younger version of flash (named Kid Flash) who can apparently go the speed of light or faster, but since this isn't the flash we are talking about sonic is defintly faster.

That's a theory.

But anyways, I go with Sonic. I'm glad these aren't biast opinions finished with reasoning, I was trying to get unbiast opinions which I have recieved so now I can confirm to someone Sonic is faster. XD

Of course that flash, it was clearly said in justice league that he can run nearly speed of light. But Sonic can only run about speed of sound. Oh, and about speed of smell, it depend on which direction wind blows :D

If you remember Blue Collar Comedy Tour The Movie(The first one), Ron White talks about how he was riding in a plane that went half the speed of smell.

but seriously the old flash (barry allen) can go speed of light or faster but the new flash (wally west) can only go 700mph (thats 1120kph) wally west's powers are unstable which is why he can only go 700, because when they stabilised it put a block on them, if he got by the block and restored his powers to when he first got them yeah he could go faster but he'd risk losing them and killing himself ( moving at the speed of light and having your powers which protect you from the heat/friction generated from such a high velocity speed fail would result in instant flash fry.)

he'd beat sonic in the race by doing it but he may kill himself, plus super sonic's top speed is uncharted so he could potentially go through time/space itself. (moving so fast he caused chaos control...)

I'd only think Super Sonic could travel at Mach 1 or 2, seeing as it's Super Sonic. Then hyper Sonic goes to 4 or 5. No Sonic can go to the speed of light however.

I really would'nt place an estimate if SOnic could run at the speed of light. He most likely can but then every time he hits that speed, he would decrease hight wise.

Sonic all the way....although flash is fast...sonic always finds a way to be even more faster.......
