Alright..i'm going to talk about how to recolor sprites...all you need is to find some sprites....lets use this
Ok now copy three of the main colors using this.... ok now you have a pallete
ok now you need to pick out 3 colors by editing the 3 colors you have by using this
now copy the first color and then edit by changing Hue,Sat, and Lum. ok now replace the colors with the colors you picked out.I picked green so I should have this
Now thats it! And when you get better you can add stuff like this! And give him a name for good measures.

all I used is da magnify glass and then the dump bucket

i use fireworks mx for my recoloring, magnify 800X then use the pencil tool or the paint bucket set at 1 tolerance,

Too bad Fireworks MX doesn't come default with the PC. I hate MS Paint for sprite editing, it's a pain...
