What are your thoughts on this?

Since it's illeagal, i think people should not do it....but sometimes people are motiveted to do this....some people don't have any other choice.....and they end up doing this just to get a better life....but sometimes that dream ends up in a prison cell.....

Altho they make up alot of the work force THEY Need to pay Taxs

Many people immigrates because they want to get a job and live peacefuly. But some of them goes and do nothing and it makes a lot of problem to the country they come. Then it is illegal. Some of my friends already went to countries like Spain and England, cause their parents had there better job. I would miss them but I know that there they will have better live. Sometimes it's better to live the home country. maybe some they I would also get a job in Ireland or something.

Its like they say, running never solves anything.. and so even if we did pass a law to deport all immigrants, and build a wall to keep them out, they would still find away around it.. I think the only way we can get rid of illegal immigration, is if we go directly to the source, and fix the problems causing these people to immigrate here.. because then, and only then will we be able to solve our problem with immigration.. other nations will likely say that it isn't our concern, and that we should mind our own business, but if we are getting people from these countries, illegally coming here, then they are making it our concern..

A common argument is that they come here for a better life, and a better opportunity for their families as well as themselves, but how are we helping them if we are hiring them because they are willing to bust their humps for pocket change? That would make us no better than the country they ran from, because we are taking advantage of them because of their strong work ethic.

My only thing is this, if you are going to come to this country, then do it legally.. don't hop a fence to come here.. I understand that people want a better life and all, and i understand the "taking matters into your own hands" issue.. but if you want something so bad, don't break the law to get it.. if i want a car, am i going to steal it? Hell No. I am going to get a job, save money and then buy a car.

As i have said before, the only way we can solve our problem with illegal immigration, is if we get to the root of the problem and fix it.. Immigrants in this country are constantly being taken advantage of because they are willing to work hard for pennies on the dollar.. but can you imagine what they would do for their own country?

All they would need is the education, and the [monetary and military] support to fight back against the corrupt leaders, so that they can work hard to help their country.. I understand that poverty is an issue, but if we send people to Africa, to help feed the children, then why can't we do the same for these other countries..

More importantly, what are the leaders of these countries doing for these people? My english proffessor told us that the Mexican President is very well aware of the immigration issue, and has actually made it his foreign policy, to increase the amount of immigrants working illegally in this country.. and that Bush is very well aware of his intentions..

I noticed that some of the Chinese immigrants that come here, become citizens, get an education, work, and eventually start, or take over their families businesses, and then send the money back home for the families they left behind, so that they can have a better life or do the same, and after they've gotten tired of staying here, they head back home.. only for the following generation, to do the same.. I'd like to think that if the other immigrants that came here did the same, instead of taking advantage of the fact that we share a geographical border with them then the americans in this country wouldn't have as big of a problem with immigration as they do today..

The thing that i am pissed about the most is that these people, are literally getting screwed over by 2 countries who really dont give a fcuk about them and the the ones who are hurt the most by it will be them, as well as americans in the long run.. so i'll say it like this.. we are not doing these unfortunate people any justice by allowing them to come here, and work for chump change with little or no chance for career/economic advancement...

Mexicans flock to the us in multitudes for a number of reasons. one would think that the leader of that country would acknowledge this and take steps to improve life for the inhabitants of that country so that they do not flock here right? WRONG! The mexican president is very well aware of the multitudes that flock here and has actually made it his goal to have an increase of illegal immigrants working here.

Here is what is wrong with this picture.. because mexicans are used to working for nothing in their country, they migrate here and are willing to do back-breaking work for next to nothing here. this causes competition among the qualified, and educated natives that work for that company. seems like the educated will win right? WRONG AGAIN, you see because that person is qualified, and educated, he/she knows the value of their worth, and as a result would establish a salary requirement for their hard work. the immigrant, would come in and be willing to work 3x the amount of hours that you do, and will do it for the amount you spend on a can of soda..

Economically speaking, the only way for us to compete with them, is if we lower, our salary expectation, to an amount as low as, if not,lower than theirs. and lets face it, life in this country will not permit such a thing as the cost of living in this country, has more than quadrupled in the last decade. and so, in doing so, we end up impoverishing ourselves, and our economy in the process..

Which is, according to the actions of the mexican president, exactly what he hopes to accomplish. bush is all for this project and wants to grant them amnesty... we should be trying to improve the conditions over there so that they do not flock over here.. for every 8 immigrants, that come here illegally, only 1 of them are caught and sent back.. the people who were caught, have been caught many times before for the same reason...

The Mexican goverenment is corrupt.. and so, the only way we can solve our problem is if we go into Mexico like we did Iraq, and overturn the government into the hands of the people who care about their country as well as the people in it.. so that they can establish a new government, and build their country from the ground up as was done in iraq. and get rid of the corrupt leaders once and for all.. we need to get that corrupt son of a b!tch out of office, but unfortunately, the u.s. only gets involved if they feel that their interests in that country are threatened.. otherwise, if a country has nothing of interest to the u.s. then they probably won't bother getting involved..

If the immigrants here became legal, then the employers would have to pay them the same as they do citizens, and they would have to hire based on experience instead of payrate, so the playing field would be level..
