i recently learned from my english professor that race technically doesn't exist. she said that it was invented as a way to keep newly freed slaves from voting after slavery was abolished. she said that when lincoln abolished slavery, the southern whites found themselves outnumbered, and they did not want them to have the right to vote, becasuse they feared of blacks taking office so they came up with the label "black" for these people, and passed a law prohibiting blacks from voting. she also said that we have a problems with labels.. and that we must put a label to everything in order for it to make sense.. i kinda agree with this.. what are your thoughts?

If we all supposedly came from the same place far back in time then we're all just one big family, regardless of race.

This world would go nowhere if we were basing everything off of race, and discriminating against others.

Unfortnaly, in some parts of our world...that's how life goes by everyday....
