I told him today, best way not to get virses. Use firefox, and windows service pack 2.
Lets give an example.
The stupid links on aim that are acutally viruses. Let say in you click it.
In I.E it would just go. ladd dee dum, and downlaod the virsuse. While in firefox, itll be liek Wtf is this and ask if you wanna download the viruses and then itll be like. uhhhhh nah. And lets say you our the one to say UHH OK LETS DOWNLAD A VIRUS, Serpice pack 2 will be like, UHHH SURE ABOUT THAT BUCKO and be like u tryna do suttin stupid. Then if u still continue to allow it then...somethings wrong with you.
So proper answer is. You dont want viruses, get firefox, and get SP2.
it works. i guarentee it. i had it for a year and ive been virus free.
And for those who dont know... I.E = Internet Explorer. Netscape is just as bad. And AOL, ugh... if you have DSL you dont need aol. get aim and a yahoo email.

i re installed all my programs MY COMPUTER IS SAFE!
i just need to re donload everything like conquer emulators etc
and im done i got SP2 and windows browser 7 came with SP2

My advice on the best way not to get viruses is to know every file that gets downloaded, and well don't download a lot. I have a strange erge to do so myself.
Also, for future occasions if you have any more... The best way to get rid of viruses is a virus scanner. I use AVG, it's free and locks away the viruses(You should check the virus vault and hit delete virus if they aren't already deleted.). I know that some viruses can get passed these things but they help alot. Oh, and if it ever gets too bad and your comp continuously crashes, you may want to just wipe your hard drive.
Just my small bits of advice.
