This is my second favorite castlevania game. Then again, I pretty much like any game where you can collect stuff.. I love the "souls" ability, where you collect the souls of defeated enemies.. This game was pretty hard.. and kinda gross... especially the man eater.. eww *shudders*

My favorite sword was the claimh solais.. that was hard to find.. i found that at the southeastern most part of the castle..

i like COTM better, because of the graphics, and the smoothness of the the game altogether, but this one surprised me.. i played COTM first before i played this one, and so, i had to adjust to the difference.. i also played HOD and i did not like it at all..

i was the opposite, i played this first and COTM second and i didn't like it at all, haven't tried HOD, but i do like the soul ability it felt really good and worked well on the gba's controls, after a few minutes using souls felt natural, music was ok but after a while got annoying, graphics wise was pretty good and worked well.

headhunter (incase you wonder what it does: the more souls you have the higher your stats increase.)

This is gonna be a stupid question on my part...But what system is it for? I'm guessing it's for the G...B...A? Scatch that...I just figured out I had it for my Advance. Now that I remember...I stopped playing it for some reason. I'll probably pick it up once again. Right after I beat Sephiroth in KH2...I do remember a little bit of it. It was really fun, I just don't know why I put it down.

i had started in on a second run of the game but i never finished it, and i'm not sure why either...

i started playing COTM yesterday, and so far, i have been every boss in the first try.. and i haven't died yet.. i just beat the twin dragons.. and am on my way to fight Death.. there is no way in hell i am gonna thru that poison water.. (the first 2 times i played this game was enough..)

as for this game, the hardest boss next to the final one, would be graham.. that dude was hard as hell.. i knew he was bad from the beginning because when ever he came on screen, he gave me the chills..

Actually, in COTM, after you defeat Death (I recommend you to use the Cross, it will be useful from there on), you'll get the Cleansing, the item that allows you to purify the poisoned water, that way, youcan now gain access to the Underground Waterway. There you'll face Camilla, just use the Cross and the Netpune/Thunderbird DSS Combo ocasionally and you'll be fine.

I know that now the first time I played it, I beat Death after I had already beaten Camilla, so I ended up doing it for nothing.. and it actually made the game harder.. the only reason I ended up where Death was, was because I saw that I didn't have all of the secret items. even though I had already beaten Hugh and gotten the Last Key to beat Dracula.. I went to Dracula because I thought that I had to beat him to get the last item.. it did not occure to me, that I had missed an entire portion of the castle. I made it through the poison water to Camilla.

With Death, I used the cross, and the Manticore with Jupiter (I think) to use the poison spray to kill the sickles because they are only a distraction.. and I just keep throwing the crosses.. and then when he is on the ground I use Uranus (is that the summoning card or is it Saturn?) with Cockatrice to summon it and he gets hit with the stones and everything.. I do that because I never know when he is going to slam his body on the floor and take away my hit points..

That's a great game...

I actually played COTM first. I didn't like it that much. But it did get me interested in the series. The next one I played was AOS. That's my personal favorite. It was awesome with Soma's soul domination ability.

Note: When fighting Graham equip Flame Demon, Succubus, and Giant Bat to unlock the true ending.

Then I played HOD. It was cool with the magic system. Juste has a strange story though. Still, the Castlevania series never disappoints.

I agree, the first time I saw HOD, it was in Japanese under a different name. Mr. Nest, actually got though about 3/4 of the firt castle, before he lost his save file when he updated the emulators on the xbox.

And yeah, I did that the first time around because there was no way in HELL I was going to do that again.. I HATE the chaotic realm..
