Their powers are pratticaly the same when they are in their super forms...so there's no way to know who is going to win...

The super chaos control is something that can only be done with both sonic and shadow...not shadow alone....

well as far as i see it, chaos control wouldn't be useful for one to use against the other anyway, since they could just counter with their own. and since their both incredibly powerful (but not quite invincible.) it would basically come down to who had more rings. and if were talking in a situation where rings weren't used... then it would come down to how long they could use the emerald's power before it ran out/shattered. but sonic may have the advantage due to the master emerald being able to super charge the normal emeralds so sonic could become hyper sonic, shadow can't go up another level so he'd be at a severe disadvantage.

Nice point VirusZero...but i why can't shadow go up in a new form...tecnacly is only transformed in is super form thanks to the power of the chaos emeralds...now the power of the super chaos emeralds have the hability to transform sonic and knux into hyper modes...than why can't shadow go up to a hyper form?...

what's the point of knowing more attacks if they are all useless against your opponent?

chaos control wouldn't work on sonic since he can do it too and in his super form he is fueled by chaos energy so he could just absorb it.

as for why no hyper shadow, i'd say because when the master emerald super charges the emeralds, only sonic knows how to transform with the extra power. shadow might be able to upgrade his chaos attack's strengths but it won't help him against a sonic on a whole new level.

Didn't you see Coolman? Chaos Spear,Chaos Control and all the rest of Shadow's Chaos abilitys WILL NOT WORK against Super Sonic,only normal Sonic,Sonic would win,he's had more exp using his super form so he can control it better,which is probably one of the reasons Sonic didn't fall down to earth and Shadow did,he didn't have enough strength left,cause his body couldn't handle the power.

indeed shadow gave everything he had in the last battle, it took every ounce of his energy, the chaos energy and the rings he had. (and as you know from sonic 3 when in super form and you run out of rings kiss the super form goodbye.)

and i completely agree DM, sonic has had alot more time to learn to use his super form. which would probably also be an excellent reason why sonic (if he had the extra energy) could go hyper and shadow could not.

Okay...that might explain why sonic can go hyper when boosted by the super chaos emeralds and shadow can not...sure sonic has had a lot more times to transform himself into his super form and therefore he has a lots of experience when it cames to that...but how can you explain the fact that knux beeing able to transform himself in hyper knux whne he didn't had that experience with the chaos emeralds...of course his supost to be their guardian but that does not give him the ability or experience to gather enough energy to go into hyper mode, according to you VZ that is...so how do you explain that?...

That's actauly one of the strategys to win a 2-players batle...at least that's how i win my oponants...collect a lot's of rings and do not let him colect the rings.,..you will see that after a short time you will have the sonic wind's, the speed up's and the time stop's you want...

Yeah it is,but that's not we're here to dicuss in this topic. As much as I like Shadow,Sonic would win,he can survive longer and as more control of his super form.

as far as knuckles being able to go hyper i would imagine that because he is the guardian of the master emerald he already knows all about what the master emerald and the emeralds can do, plus he knows how to control the chaos energy and navigate the special stages easier (atleast in sonic 2, 3 and knuckles) though the reason he never uses chaos control is because (aside from he's an echidna and sonic/shadow are hegdehogs which also may affect the resulting chaos power use) it's a variant of how he controls the chaos energy (he uses the master emerald to do it, and he doesn't like to abuse his power fearing he may unleash chaos again.) now where/how did knuckles learn these abilities, the answer is probably from the previous guardian or by when he first became the guardian and accessed the master emeralds power some knowledge was transferred to him.

but to explain it with the use of the real life timeline:
sonic 3 and knuckles was released before shadow was introduced, and because sonic 3 and knuckles was the ONLY game to use the super emeralds (which mysteriously vanished after sonic 3 and knuckles) shadow would never have known about the super emeralds and therefore could never use their power while sonic and knuckles had already sampled it's power.

I've got to add to how Knuckles got his powers! It may be pure instnct born into him, a survival instinct. We humans have it so why not Knuckles?

Yeah...i think they should give a major role to knux...his much more capable and powerfull than we have seen in the previous games...
