Dear VirusZero,

You have been warned for one of your posts, which violated (BOARD NAME REMOVED) Forum Rules. The reason you have been

warned is because:

Use proper capitalization and punctuation.  This is NOT a chat room!  Make your writing reflect your

intelligience. Don't use chat room slang or shortcuts. You're only hurting yourself in the end.

(Warning Type = English Abuse)

For this violation, you have been given : 5 point(s).
The point(s) will remain in your account for 180 days.
After that, they will be removed automatically.

The post for which you are warned can be seen here:

=======================================
the clone fight though fast doesn't look particularly smooth, the motions seem jaggy, try not moving them so fast, at the higher fps you can take the extra frames and use it to really smooth out your animation.
but to be really good, extend the fight out, add a story to it and above all add some music.

The admin/moderator who warned you, entered this comment:

Not the worst ever, but not very good either. It all goes together, making it hard to read.
=======================================

Your total Warning Level at the moment is: 5 point(s).

If you reach the maximum of 50, you will be banned from the Forums, for 30 days.

A dispute? ofcourse I have a dispute with this.

A warning for a few english mistakes? that's rather pathetic isn't it? this isn't a school, this is a forum, where people gather to have fun and chat about things, correct? (I can understand if I was talking in "leet" to be warned but not for what I did.)

so my sentence isn't perfect, I'm not an english major. And expecting people to write at graduate level university english is extremely high expectations which few could do. Another thing about this is people make mistakes, yes?
(well of course you can't argue with this, it is proven true.) and because people make mistakes not always do they see them, which happens to be a large part of some people's errors when typing. (Proof-reading your own work very rarely will you ever find all your mistakes, because your brain corrects them as you read them without concious thought of it the majority of the time.)

I would like to point out that because my post was of all one topic it could therefore be classed a paragraph. So therefore saying it all lumps together is correct but of course it is supposed to considering it all has to do with the same subject. The moderator that warned me should atleast understand this if (s)he is going to be enforcing rules based around the proper use of the english language.

By any chance, is matt the owner of this forum? it seems all too familiar..

on second thought, don't answer that..

i'd leave and never come back.. they should learn to pick their battles..

and by the way, i saw nothing wrong with your post.. it seems that they are abusing their power..

VirusZero - August 6, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
Nope i will say it isn't Matt. this is a different forum, and as i told them i thought it was pathetic they warned people for making mistakes in their writing, and that it is unreal for them to expect people to post at english major level of writing all the time.

Black Angel - August 6, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
I agree, and to have staff who are more concerned with posts, than they are concerned about the members who make them, is a sign of bad leadership.

Dark Mage - August 6, 2006 07:26 AM (GMT)
That is screwed up bad, so you didn't use perfect English, big woop, that's bullcrap, it seems to me, like BA said, they are abusing their power.

Lloyd T.H. - September 4, 2006 12:21 AM (GMT)
so what if there mistakes in typing, if everyone talks diffent, why not type diffent, like I like to in green letters, whats the problem?

ThunWind Hog - September 4, 2006 02:05 AM (GMT)
Thats weird...

Dark Mage - September 4, 2006 06:58 AM (GMT)
Why would anyone care if you didn't use proper spelling,as long as it's legible is all you should care about.

Mystic Mage - September 5, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
All i can say is, just atleast make it legible and it's ok... He's probably an English teacher (or Litracy(<that was misspelt i think) what you may call it) or someone who writes stuff... But ffs! I'm with Sonic as it's blaintantanly obvious that i use purple everytime i type something unless it's in an rp. (crap grammar)

Just showing i make the same mistakes ;)

Zero if that's the rules there i don't understand why you still use it. If you want i could send a diplomatic email or something stupid but i don't think it'd do any use.

Dictator - September 5, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
LOL! That guy is a dork! Seriously, you can't blame someone for not using perfect English. Everyone makes an error at least once throughout the course of a day. I bet that that admin/moderator has made plenty of mistakes too.

Lloyd T.H. - September 11, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
hey, who are you calling a dork?! :idontknow:

Black Angel - September 19, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
Whoa, it seems that one of the Mods over at IFS posted a rant in his blog about it.. read here..

blazermax - September 19, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
omg that guy needs to chill right now. its just spelling you shouldnt get bann from a forum just cuase you put a few letters out of place. thats like telling someone that they cant go to an spanish class cuase you cant speak in a spanish accent

Sephiroth - September 19, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
My god, how stupid can that be...

VirusZero - September 19, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
wow I'm surprised he acutally said that, I am surprised a bit though, that he didn't decide to go over the the place it happened at and lamblast them for it as well.

but just out of curiosity I went back to the forum where I got warned today, and apparently they never permently banned me or anything, if they did warn/ban or what ever then it was only temporary and automatically wore off.

and it wasn't I was banned, it was that I didn't use proper grammar so they warned me for that, I contested it and then posted it here that I had been warned for this, so then it got transfered to another forum and one of the members from that forum went to the one I'd been warned at and said something, the people at that forum leaped to the conclusion I had multiple accounts (never bothering to check IP's) so when I explained what happened they removed my secondary warning.

Sephiroth - September 19, 2006 11:55 PM (GMT)
Guilt's conscience i guess...

Dark Mage - September 23, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
It's pathetic, warned or whatever for not making it 100% perfect.

It's not a freiken grammer school people!

Did you read Paper's post? He handed them their asses on a silver platter.. they were quick to warn, and insult him for his 'improper' use of grammar, and then he turned around and told them exactly how hypocritical their rules were in that they had spelling and grammatical errors as well.

But yeah Jay didn't have the link that is why he didn't go there and blast them.

Snowflame - September 23, 2006 08:50 AM (GMT)
I think that some boards have different rules.

VirusZero - September 23, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
ah I see then, that's why then. Some one should have given it to him, so he could, but oh well that incident is in the past now.

as far as different rules go, yeah that's ok, but when it's to the point your being that picky about use of a language that you warn it's a bit rediculous and power abusive, that would be like me warning you guys for any errors you have when I make loads of errors myself. and that is the problem, they try to enforce a rule which sets a standard so high NO ONE can live up to it (not even the creator of the rule.) and that just isn't fair to the members of that forum.

Dark Mage - September 23, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
Damn right.

Snowflame - September 24, 2006 03:53 PM (GMT)
Of course.

Shadic_X - September 24, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
At Sonic Turbine, if you don't post 5 characters or more, it is spam.

Snowflame - September 24, 2006 04:31 PM (GMT)
A SPAM!!!!!![SIZE=7] :WHAT?!:

Lloyd T.H. - September 24, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
that was crazy.

Dark Mage - October 3, 2006 08:34 AM (GMT)
