Hey...must i remind you that Portugal is not...and i repite it's not the center of all anime...sure they broadcast anime's here...but some of they are prety crapie or for some reason they stop broadcasting them like they did with Naruto...don't blame if i don't all the animes that you guys see...

Its just not giant robot anime(lol, flcl reference) and there not just robots, there actual creatures
its also has a psychological side too. But its a show that follows the character Shinji Ikari as he is called to pilot Eva Unit-01 by his father who abandoned him 10 years ago(hes 14 in the series, he kinda has to be) His father is the head of an orginization called NERV. this is the daughter of another orginization called GEHERN(sp) These orginizations look over the development of giant creatures called the E-series or Evangelions/Eva. These came from the Giant of Life, also known as Adam.
but anayways.. As the series follows Shinji's there are beings called Angels that come down to Earth and attack New Tokyo 3. Shinji's duty(heh, i said duty) is to pilot Eva unit-01 and fight these creatures. AS the plot develops, it is discovered that a sercret orginization called Seele (pronounced say'le') has possesion of the dead sea scrolls. and by deciphereing these scrolls they have it known that they plan to use Adam(the giant of light) to cleanse man of his wrongs, and thereby destroying all of mankind. But as the show goes on new characters, like Rei and Asuka and they pilot unit 00 and unit 03 respectively.

he did in that last episode(or the second to last or whatnot)n but the original pilot was asuka langely soryu.
Eva-00 -Rei Ayanami(character cloned fom shinji's mother..has no soul...creepy..she is also a part of the dummy plug system)
Eva-01 -Shinji Ikari(son of Gendo Ikari. The head honcho at NERV HQ. Ran away and has serious problems with everything..kind of emo, lol)
Eva-02 -Toji Suzuhara (was destroyed by the dummy plug in Eva-01 when Eva-02 was infected by an angel and went bezerk)
Eva-03 -Asuka Langley Soryu(Part German Part American Part Japanese.. this girl has some serious psychological issues with her mom)
Eva-04 -(Vanished along with NERV U.S. Base with the explosion that resulted from the activation of a S2 engine)

Yes I love this show, Rei is my favorite character. And from research I found that NGE kind of follows the christian faith. But almost all anime have something they model after. This one's kind of abvious, Fullmetal Alchemist revolved around the study and relegion fo Alchemy.

Literally a majority of the show has to do with some sort of an inner proble, with about 2 mins of fighting and another set of self destrcution, and i mean, really, come on.

I like this anime...It's just when it gets to certian parts, I look at the screen and go. "WTF?!" There's also the last episode...I had to watch it like 5 times to get the freaking point of it!! 5 FREAKING TIMES!! omg Still I got it...It was intersting to watch, and it did have it's funny side. Yes, BDX does have a point about it...If you haven't seen it, then try checking it out. It's got comedy in it, and it can get intersting in some points. In others though...It might just give your brain an overload.

I don't watch it because the voices suck. Besides that they are a bunch of angsty depressed people. I read the manga, thought it was good at first but after I got further into the series on the anime I was killed.

I haven't read the manga fully. I only read the chapters of which you see Asuka for the first time. What killed you in the anime?

The bad music that plays in the end of the series. The voices. Little bits of fighting. The angst characters. Everything... This is why i prefer Gundam.

I do like Gundam more then this series...But the voice acting isn't bad, and neither is the music...But then again it's just me who thinks this.

hte voice acting really isnt that bad if you watch the seris as broadcasted, but when you buy the dvd's , they remastered the voice's (considering it ten years later they sound very diffent) the voice is america were cool
yes this is angsty, but i dont mind, its the way he series is set up. at first emo #1(shinji) is all no freind like, but as the series develops, he meets Toji and Kensuke and isnt that bad.. but towards the end(after he fights toji, he goes emo again. emo. #2(rei) goes through finding out who she is, but the as she seems to be a real persom, she kills herself and starts again. at the beggining of the series she doesnt reall have any emotions at all. Emo #3 (asuka) is actually very preppy/excited at the beginnign of the show. but then an angel try's to understand her mind and makes her emo.. this last for the series but in the movie she gets happy and then dies. Misato is good until Ryoji Kaji is killed. even all of this ideaology is freudian work

2.It's a good series.

Bad sides of the show.
1.Too much nudity,some is alright,but there was too much in this series.
2.Shinji acted so depressed and needy.
