Link - August 15, 2006 10:08 PM (GMT)
I've got until the 6th of September or something like. Going to hate waking up early in the morning....

Dictator - August 15, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
I am too. I like sleeping in. Woke up at 6PM today and it's now 6:22. I've only been awake for 22minutes because I stood up until % in the morning.

Link - August 15, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
Wow...I usually wake up around 8 am when I'm on break, but I go to sleep around 3 am...Werid...

Black Angel - August 15, 2006 10:40 PM (GMT)

Shadic_X - August 15, 2006 11:55 PM (GMT)
I already started.

Link - August 16, 2006 12:03 AM (GMT)
Ouch...Sorry to here that, but then again. It's not all that bad, and I feel like my days are getting longer. So I'm glad that I have like two more weeks of freedom...

thefishofdoom - August 16, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)

VirusZero - August 16, 2006 12:11 AM (GMT)
I move back to university on the 4th but i don't start until later (the 5th i think but it could be the 7th im not 100% sure right now, i haven't check on the website...)

Sephiroth - August 16, 2006 12:11 AM (GMT)
I have until October 8....

Black Angel - August 16, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
bdx has been in school since july..

Dictator - August 16, 2006 10:18 AM (GMT)
Busy busy busy I see. But that's not completely a bad thing. I just don't feel like going to school. I'm the lazy type of person who really doesn't enjoy doing anything. Besides once I get back to school I have to deal with all the obnoxious morons, the rumors spread and then believed by slightly below half of the school's population, scolding for not doing homework and the, "Oh I know you can do better then this...." $|-|!7.

*Sigh* Oh well at least I have one future event to look forward to.. The end of school.

Mystic Mage - August 18, 2006 06:52 AM (GMT)
I think i've still got 7/8/9 (Counting University) years of school left... :idontknow: that's alot of years

A.J. The Echidna - August 18, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
I think i've got until August 7th. Not sure.

Dictator - August 18, 2006 06:54 PM (GMT)
Do you mean 27th? August 7th has passed.

Yeah but here is the thing.. as annoying as it is to be reminded of your homework, and scolded for not doing it, trust me.. you are still being babied.. why? because in college, you either sink or swim on your own.. they will tell you your homework, and when it is due, and if you don't bring it in, they don't say anything.. they don't even remind you that there was homework due.. the students just come in, and put it on the desk.. and then start with the lesson..

In high school, they give you homework, and tell you when it is due, and if you didn't do it, then they want a reason, and depending on the reason, you get another chance.. if you persistently don't do your homework, your teachers call your parents, and have them come up to the school.. they ask you why you haven't been doing your work, and in turn, they work out an agreement, where if you do all of your missed homework, they will pass you..

In college, If you miss a class, you miss a class..

In high school, If you miss a class, they call your parents and ask why.

In college, If you miss a class on a test day, and there was no medical or otherwise, legitimate reason behind it.. You fail. and you do not get a chance to make the test up either.

In high school, If you miss a class on a test day, and there was no medical or otherwise, legitimate reason behind it, they still let you take the make-up exam.

In college, make-up exams taken due to a non-medical or otherwise, legitimate reason, (and otherwise, psuedo-lenient professors) have a penalty, (well at least in my school it does) so even if you got all of the answers right on the exam, they will subtract x amount of points from your exam.. they mark it on the test even before they hand it to you.

In high school, make-up exams taken due to a non-medical or otherwise, legitimate reason, have no penalty.

In college, they drop you in deep water, with weights tied to your ankles, and thats it.. no oxygen, no vest, no cage.. so you either sink or swim..

In high school, they drop you in shallow water, with an oxygen tank, a life vest, a wetsuit, and you are in a cage, for further protection..

High school does nothing to prepare you for college.. because it is not just the classes, and the work you have to get used to, you also have to get into the mindset.. you have to learn how to think on your own..

I understand. It's similar to the Middleschool (Not the collage part of course.). I guess I'll just have to try and do my work, it's a habbit and habbits are hard to break.

A.J. The Echidna - August 19, 2006 11:18 AM (GMT)
Woah! My bad! I mean September 7th.

Dark Mage - August 19, 2006 11:29 AM (GMT)
We don't have junior high in Australia, only Preschool,Primary School and High School.

VirusZero - August 19, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
also different places use different groupings for the grades as well, ie:
here primary is before grade 1, and grades 1-6 are called elementary, then 7-9 is jr high (supposedly prep for high school), then highschool is 10-12 (grade 13 used to exist in other parts of canada, i don't know if it still does now or not...) then college/university.

Dictator - August 19, 2006 11:27 PM (GMT)
Well we have an intermediate school here for 5th and 6th graders. Then we have the Middleschool for 7th and 8th, Highschool for 9-12, and Elelmentary (I went way down on the grades) Is K-4

MaranX - August 21, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
In my country we start school when we are 7, there is primary school from 1-6 grade, junior high school 1-3 grade and then high school 1-3 grade (again). There is also pre school but I don't count it, because what they teach there? How to use a toilet? I start school on 4th September btw.

Dictator - August 21, 2006 08:01 PM (GMT)
I never went to preschool so yeah it isn't a school. If it's not required by law then it isn't a real grade.

MaranX - August 21, 2006 08:06 PM (GMT)
I was only 1 year in pre-school. I used to behave horribly there so I always got the worst punish in the world. I was sent to corner in the other class :ph43r: Those were times :B):

Dictator - August 21, 2006 08:08 PM (GMT)
OH NO!!! Not the CORNER!!! lol.

BlackRyuX - August 29, 2006 06:39 PM (GMT)
AM. Like 4:30 in the morning.

Dictator - August 29, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
WHOA! I'd be up all night then because I'd be cranky if you woke me up that early so I'd have to stay up. What time do you get home at?

Dark Mage - August 30, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
Can anyone tell me what a makeup test is?

Link - August 30, 2006 08:09 AM (GMT)
It's when you're allowed to retake a test that you had missed or failed before. It's a really good chance to make up for an F or missing the test. So take it if you have the time. I know I won't regret them from now on.

Dark Mage - August 30, 2006 10:06 AM (GMT)
We don't have those here.

Dictator - August 30, 2006 07:08 PM (GMT)
They are good. We can also sometimes correct test or quizes. I corrected one for SS because I missed a problem and you get half a point back. However, because my SS teach doesn't grade half points he rounds up and I get all the test points. ^_^
