That mom probably did nothing to prevent this and now she's cashing in on her daughters situation. If the mom was involved in monitoring this she would have prevented her daughter ( or atleast talked to her about the risks. ) it may not have happened.
but as far as myspace goes people shouldn't lie about their age (especially young people) because I know a girl who put down 18, but I know she is only 15 (it's her fault for being misleading, so if the girl was doing this it could be partially her fault for the assault, the 19 thought he was talking to an 18 yr old and that she really liked him, though he is still guilty of assault regardless.)

Once again,VZ knows what he's talking about, who else agrees with VZ?

That's just stupid in my opinion, the teenager was underage of the Myspace TOS.

Anyone who is underaged, and chooses to sign up anyway, are waiving their rights.. as for the mother, if she were a better parent, and kept an eye on her child's online activities, then this would not have happened.. i've no sympathy for parents who are lazy, and opt not to keep up with technology on an intellectual scale..
VirusZero - September 13, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
alot of parents never bother to keep up to tech and they end up paying later.
the number of people who would have been helped if only they'd kept up and paid attention to what their kids were doing is probably an astounding number.

that's why I don't go to My space! I know too many deag(<my word) on people that go there! 3/4th of the kids at my school go to that site! it just drives me crazy!
Gameshrk90 - October 2, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
Almost everyone at my school has myspace except me. (Thank God!) Anyhow, the only person I know who uses it wisely is one of my friends. He uses it purely as advertisement for his DJ job. He get's 100 bucks an hour because of that site! Other than that most of the myspace owners at my school are idiots who apparently want to get hurt in some way.
BlackCloudX - October 2, 2006 11:28 AM (GMT)
my bros whole damn school goes there too cept me
Blaze the Hedgehog - October 16, 2006 08:04 PM (GMT)
I go there for:
1. Friends and family (e-mail is too slow)
2. To advertize my website
That's it.

yo here the ghetto coming out of me. check it , it's not myspace fault that she lie about her age , it's not myspace fault that the dude is a "put a word here you don't like" and it not myspace fault that mom duke can't watch her own dumd kids. this could of happend anywhere and it has for the state to germany to iraq from iceland i can tell you has happend before. with letter call or just see a person if you take those three people in any place and the same thing would happend

Krypt - December 2, 2006 12:37 PM (GMT)
this might be the beggining of the end for all MySpace/hi5/whatever sites.
and to be honest, im happy with that
Black Angel - December 4, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
Well considering the motivation for myspace's creation, that may not necessarily a bad thing..
http://ffsx.sytes.net/index.php?showtopic=1950though a lot of those horny teens need to just "fly solo" before going online that way they keep their nasty shit offline..
Dark Mage - December 5, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
B.A,I second that notion.
