Trick or Treat?

Happy Halloween!

Dictator - October 31, 2006 07:55 PM (GMT)
I think I'll pick trick. I have a few planned out for those who come to my house.

Snowflame - October 31, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
Happy haloween is anyone wearing a costume?

Mystic Mage - October 31, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
No
I had to stay at home and awnser the door... I wish i had a little brother or sister to take around the village... then i would be able to get sweets, without looking like a freak :p

Trick ey?

Here's a chilling story... though you may of heard it before

This lady was awoken by her dog that was licking her fingers, she got up to get a glass of water and as she opened the bathroom door she screamed as she saw her dogs head on the wall next to a note saying "If this is your dog, who was licking your fingers?"

And if that didn't scare you try this for size... Be warned it will make you jump

Ugh.. I hate trick or treating..

When I was younger, I had to take bdx.. and then it was bdx, and our cousins..

I am old enough to know that I don't have to go trick or treating to get the candy I want.. all I have to do is go out and buy it..

Though.. I will be getting my halloween candy tomorrow.. it is half off..

As for dressing up.. I can't say what my costume is.. but i will say that it was expensive, but it's worth it, and i won't be leaving the house in it.. ;)

It is too damn cold for that..

But yeah, halloween scares me.. not because of the nair-eggs, but because anybody can do whatever the hell they want to you and you cant see anything because they are wearing a costume.

I mean what are you going to say?

"oh noez!! That bunny snatched my purse!"

So i'd rather stay in and avoid that b.s. alltogether..

Happy Halloween! :) :multidance:

Yeah in villages with chavs you're likely to get egged... i'm glad i'm not in a chavy village!

But what's the point of buying candy when you can get a bin bag... put 2 eye holes in it and go around the village saying trick or treat at each house and get free candy?

Black Angel - October 31, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
People also poison the candy.. or if it is homemade they can put glass in it..

I'd rather buy my candy, and know that I am not going to be poisoned, or swallow glass rather than take the chance with someone else..

Though, when I used to take bdx trick or treating, and it was later, we used to get money from the people who answered the door.. They had a halloween party that day, and were drunk.. so at that point they gave us money so that we'd go away..

Mystic Mage - October 31, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
I doubt they'd put poison in the candy and glass in the buiscuits...
But we really just give out candy and that's about it here... no parties...

MaranX - October 31, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
There is nothing in my countsry like Haloween so no glass or deadly poisons. Although there are some parties organised in clubs for people during this event.

Black Angel - October 31, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
They do, that is why parents tell you not to eat anything until you get home so that they can check it..

I didnt accept fruit from then because they also put razor blades in the apples..

Trust me, parents wouldn't warn their children about it if there wasn't an inherent risk..

There are some crazy people out here..

Edit: Maran My post wasn't directed at you..

And Also, In Central America, Halloween is the day that they go to the cemetaries and go to the resting places of their deceased family and friends, and basically have a festival of sorts..

I think they call it "All Saints Day.."

MaranX - October 31, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
Really? Do they get punished for this?

If the parents are smart enough and remember the houses that they got the bad treat from then yes, but a lot of times, no..

That is why when ever I took bdx, and our cousins and his friends trick or treating, I always planned my route, and the houses went to before hand.. I also made sure that I went to the houses of people we knew.. and I also wrote down the treats given.

That way that wouldnt have been an issue..

Sometimes, we'd have extra costumes, and go for seconds or thirds..
