Title: Aeon needs your help
Description: Concerning a theft on MySpace.com
Aeon - November 11, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
A noob has hijacked my character, and tricked several hundred people into believing HE'S "Prince Aeon Prower". Anybody have any suggestions?
VirusZero - November 11, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
yeah, we need to bring this sucker down, first i suggest contacting this person and asking them to tell the truth, then if they refuse we report him/her to the myspace as stealing copyrighted content, and further so they won't try anything else report them to their isp as well.
then to correct the people, I suggest a bunch of us go on his site and start posting that he isn't the real Aeon and that he's a fake, stealing this title so he can mooch of the popularity/tallent of another.

I've seen this done at Sonic Turbine, after some n00bs see one of Arna's movies, they name themselves the name of a character from Sonic Syythe or Cosmic Dimensions.
Ask the n00b to show a sprite sheet of Aeon in Sonic 3 or Sonic adv/battle style.
P.S. Is Aeon pronounced as [A-on] or [e-on]

Well, technically, you can name yourself/character whatever you want. A name can't be copyrighted. The only thing that can be is the idea of the character which I know is being spoken about. It's annoying when people take your characters for their own claim.

Grab your guns men, WE ARE GONNA KILL THAT MOTHERF**KER

Lol, it's pronounced a-on. The name I could care less about. He's calling himself Prince Aeon Prower, but the problem is the picture he stole. He stole the picture that my closest friend, Miriam, drew for me. He's claiming it's his art, and his character, and even maintains this belief in his PMs to me.

Well,we'll need the link first.

who exactly are these people that belive he is the owner?
Dictator - November 11, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
This reminds me of an event that happened to my friend Beowulf. He placed a picture on an RPG site I was running on MSN and his character and later was in a confrontment of a person who claimed the character was his. I knew that Beowulf's character was his but the other guy insisted it was his.
We have to find this guy and give him hard evidence. Have your friend write this guy an email if necassary. Have her draw more artwork of the character and then have her screenshot the email before it's sent and have her send you that shot to you. Then because the artwork will be completely identical he won't be able to say it's his.
Or you could simply have her take a picture of the original Artwork and send that. It's not worth trying to make him admit it isn't his if we can't prove it, right?

Hmm, I think I've pretty much taken care of him. He and his friend both admitted to him being six years old. Whether or not he's exaggerating is beside the point. I SSed it and sent it to customer service. He should be banned sometime today. MWAHAHAHAH

That's good. I guess that's what happens when you don't/can't create your own work and claim things that aren't to be yours. The least the guy could have done was ask another artist for what he wanted.
VirusZero - November 11, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
but if he really is 6 years old, it is clear that he lacks the common sense to do this, he as far as it seems has not been told that stealing is wrong, even use of images, and he also is deluded in thinking that he can claim he owns something in which he has no stake of. It is clear that he should be monitored closely at all times while on the net by his parents. and if they cannot do this then he should not be allowed on the internet
if he is older than 14, the above stands, and it may be too late to prevent him from becoming corrupted and stop him from commiting further acts of theivery.
