Im just wondering why they are making so many of these FF games,I mean come on this is like the what? 12th one out already. How many more are they gonna make.Next thing you know itll be like in the decline of video games where they got fainal fantasy 1000 or something. they need to make something new,sure its may be a good game (even though i have never played any of them)but there gonna have to stop somewhere,or at least give each version different titles.

It's a misnomer, just deal with it. As long as there is squareenix, there is always a final fantasy in the works.

to be honest final fantasy has 12 games, then it had the legends series with 3 games (these were on the gameboy color) the tactics series of 2 game so that's 17 in total.
the megaman series has
9 classic megaman games (and 2 power battle ones for a total of 11)
9 megaman X games (including command mission but not the x collection)
4 megaman Zero games
3 megaman legends games (thats including the misadventures of tron bonne)
7 megaman battlenetwok games (not including the multiple versions of the same games, so mmbn 4 redsun and bluemoon are same as well as mmbn 6- faltzar and gregar versions)
1 megaman zx
and soon to be 1 rockman ryuessi (or megaman starforce)
so that's 35 megaman games out to date (which is double that of final fantasy)
the megaman series has

Snap 2? And the N64 games of Pokemon Colliseum I'm pretty sure are called Pokemon Stadium. It might be different in other countries but that's what it's called here.

Cloud, they only count if they are games, some of them are movies, which drops the numbers, as well a few are remakes which i haven't counted for the megaman series, and which i wouldn't count for final fantasy either.

don't count ff5 and ff5 for the advance as seperate games. (thy are the same just one is ported to the advance with a bit more stuff, other than the minor differences they are the same game so it doesn't count.)
and for games like that don't count remakes/ports don't count, they're the same game just slight differences which aren't enough to classify it as a new game.
cause if that's the case you'd have to add 4 more to the megaman battlenetwork games (cause megaman bn 3-6 all have 2 different versions, which i only counted 1 of because they are the same game with only minor differences in the story lines), the x collection, the megaman anniversary collection, the Maverick hunter: megaman x1 game (and soon to be maverick hunter megaman x2), megaman powered up, the ports of legends 1 and legends 2,
which brings the total of megaman games to 46 (thats pretty scary when ya think about it, 46 megaman games in 20 years)
