I have no problem with them..

Especially when everyone gets together and you get to talk, laugh, and have a good time..

I think that it is even more special, when everybody brings something, to me that makes it that much more enjoyable..

but what really REALLY ticks me off is how you will always have someone, who brings NOTHING, and does their damned best to take everything, and is the first to leave.. and basically don't help with the clean up..

When my family has their gatherings, whether we are throwing one, or attending one, we ALWAYS help clean up afterwards.. if we have to leave early, then we help out in the kitchen.. but the point is we always help out..

It doesn't seem right that the person worked all day to cook all of that food, just to be the only one to clean it up later on..

Especially when their guests, stayed until they got their fill, took as much plates home as they could, and then drank as much as they could before passing out.

That is just my take on it..

To me, family gatherings can be quite pointless. This comes from the thousands I've been dragged to in which I have no idea who anyone at the gathering is. Infact, most people in my family are people I wouldn't even think of associating with in real life due to their personalities and additudes. A whole family of wise asses is what i have to deal with. This doesn't go well with the fact that I have an extreme dislike of parties, especially when they play gangsta rap, reggaeton, crappy dance remixes an other forms of noise made to sound like music. All in all they're only good if the family at the gathering is actually family you know. If not, then you'll be an anti-social ball of hate just like me.

my family gatherings well....
they don't happen anymore, why?

because on my father's side:
1-everyone is scattered across North America, and it's hard to get everyone together,
2- my uncles and my father DO NOT get along
3- they don't really get along with my mother's side...
and as far as my mother's side go, their schedules are always busy, and none of them really like to plan the get togethers...
as well as majority of my mother's side i've never met.

Did I forget to mention those people I don't know are on my mother's side?

Well, i don't have family gatherings. Why....because all my sisters are married and alreafdy have kids, so you can probably guess that they don't give a damn about me or my parents, only when they need someone to take care of their kids for them that is ...all my gans are dead and the rest of the family only calls once in a while....so yeah me and my family don't get along that well...
