Title: Movies that should have never been created.

Black Angel - December 22, 2006 11:42 PM (GMT)
This list is likely to get longer.. but this is what i have so far..

Bring it on 2
American Pie the naked mile
Any movie after Home Alone 2
Son of the Mask
Space Jam
Ghost

Pretty much any movie (besides james bond, and VERY few others) where the main character or characters are not played by the same actor, or actors.

Any movie that went straight to VHS or DVD.

Charlies Angels 2 would have been in this, but Bernie Mac was what saved that movie.. I thought he was very funny in that movie and I do like him as an actor. I like Demi Moore as an actress.

What are your choices?

and please, when responding to this topic, please state a reason as to why you made your choice..

VirusZero - December 23, 2006 12:06 AM (GMT)
ok, here's what I'd add to the list

alot of movies made from a video game. (they always screw it up, actors don't look convincing, poor acting, poor story, etc.)

super mario brothers
resident evil
silent hill
doom
and etc. (though we'll have to see what they do with the upcoming metal gear and halo movies...)

Dark Mage - December 23, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
Final Fantasy Spirits Within: It had nothing to do with Final Fantasy, except having a Cid in it,otherwise,it plain sucked.

Black Angel - December 23, 2006 06:22 AM (GMT)
See.. I wanted to add all 3 Matrix movies, as well as Final Fantasy Advent Children to that list.. but if I did, I'd probably be banned.. I'd end up paying for it offline, since Mr. Nest liked those movies..

Dark Mage - December 23, 2006 06:36 AM (GMT)
Advent Children rocked! BA,I'm shocked.

blazermax - December 23, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)

A classic what?

A classic tragedy is more like it.. :ermm:

The only movie that combined cartoons and people, and did a semi-decent job at it, was Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Anything else after that pretty much sucked.

I mean damn, they would have been better suited if they drew Jordan and the others as a cartoon, as opposed to the route they went with that movie..

If they had done that, then the fact that Jordan can't act, wouldn't have been as big of a problem.. :ermm:

congratz on the 600th.

VirusZero - December 23, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
Advent's children was an awesome movie, you can't say it sucked without a good reason, as far as I see the voice acting was pretty good (atleast the japanese version) the plot makes sense, and the movie looks good.

but the matrix series well the first was good then I felt it went downhill with the second movie and then recovered slightly with the 3rd movie, but still nowhere's near as good as the first.

A.J. The Echidna - December 23, 2006 09:05 PM (GMT)
Four words, Secret of NIMH 2. That killed the entire NIMH franchise. The first NIMH movie at least was a well done adaption to it's source material, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, aside from some added elements and one name change to avoid a lawsuit from Wham-O. The first movie also has a large cult following which in my heart I'll always be a part of. The second, however, was so poorly made that the directer of the first film, Don Bluth(the American Tail films, Titan AE, A Troll In Central Park), didn't even give the OK for it to be made. It had only two voice actors from the original film return since most of them either grew up or died and it was a musical. A FREAKIN MUSICAL! Not that I dislike musicals but if you're going to make a musical then please keep it out of my NIMH. All in all the movie sucked and the only thing it had going for it was Dom DeLuise.

Black Angel - December 23, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
I never said it sucked.. I just didn't like the movie..

For starters, it, like the matrixes had too much hype from the get-go..

I heard so much about AC, and the Matrix, that when I saw the movie I was very disappointed.

I am not into FInal Fantasy.. though, i did get some pretty good renders from AC..

I am not into the Matrix.. even though I thought that the special effects in those movies were phenominal.

A.J. The Echidna - December 23, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
All I know is, I'm tired of hearing Matrix jokes and references.

blazermax - December 24, 2006 03:22 PM (GMT)
ok im going to add scary movie 1-4 to the list now

VirusZero - December 24, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
Why? I liked the scary movie series, I thought they were funny, alttle stupid at times but funny. They parodied alot of the greater horror films so well, like in the 4th one the saw puppet... he was hilarious.

but the matrix's problem was that people took it out of hand, everybody started using it and making the same jokes over and over until it burnt itself out, that's not he maker of the matrix's fault, it's the people who kept using it as souce material even after everything there was to do with it was already done.

blazermax - December 24, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
change the title and it will be a different story but if the title is "SCARY MOVIE" I wanna see SCARY STUFF.

A.J. The Echidna - December 24, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
I say they should've stopped at Scary Movie 3.

I say they should've stopped at Scary Movie 3.

I don't even think they should have made three (don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I wasn't like "OMFG, THAT WAS HILARIOUS!")
But you have to admit, Scary movie 4 was one of the most hilarious out of the scary movies.
And another reason why I kinda like scary movie 4 better was because I didn't like the english grudge. I saw the original Japanese version (on DVD with subtitles), and when I compared it to the english one, I couldn't see any comparison.

I would like to add the following to the list:
Duce Bigalow European Gigolo
The Ring
The Grudge
The Grudge 2
:)

A.J. The Echidna - January 8, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
Two things.

1. Scary Movie 4 wasn't that good. Plain and simple.

2. If you're gonna hate on The Ring then I'm just gonna have to go ape shizz on you.

See.. I wanted to add all 3 Matrix movies

omg :o  f'dup :wtf: :...: :WHAT?!: :idontknow: blah

The Matrix is class ffs. I haven't really ever heard of a person that doesn't like the Matrix... I know the first one was brilliant and the other weren't as good but it's still a good trilogy

This bring my mind back to fucking idiots that base their expectations to be better than the first one but aslong as it's a good movie it's a good movie

People said Pirates of the Caribean Dead mans Chest Not good enough
People said Shrek 2 was crap

When they're 2 purfectly good movies... It's cause they made such a good start that people say they suck

n'uf said

They should make a movie of The Hobbit

Snakes of a plane shouldn't of been made

VirusZero - January 9, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
I think that the The lord of the rings trilogy should never have been made.

and as far as the pirates of the carribean 2 goes, I do think it wasn't as good as the first, it seemed slower, more talking less excitement, and it wasn't as funny or as classic as the first one was.

ok vz your wrong for that. the lord of the rings was the best movie of its time.

VirusZero - January 9, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
I disagree, the lord of the rings movies I found to be extremely difficult to watch, the characters were well designed but the actors playing them were poor choices (except for gandalf, they made a good choice for who should have played him. ) frodo and sam's actors looked like they were half drunk/stoned through most of the movie.

the books themself I couldn't finish reading as I found reading them dryer than the sahara (I did manage to finish the first book, and I got part of the way into the second then got tired and left it and tried the third, got to page 77 and then abandoned trying any more). the movie was only marginaly better because all you had to do was watch. (supposedly no intense thinking involved.) but thats not the case as you had to remember who each character was and what they had done in the past because some of it was integral to the story.

Mystic Mage - January 9, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
Frodo was meant to be like that cuase he had the burden of the ring on him. And they would of both been bloody well tired so i see no problem of them looking like that

A.J. The Echidna - January 9, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
The only reason I even watched the first one was to see the Balrog near the end of the movie. He's awesome.

Dictator - January 10, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
I disagree to the disagree. I found all three movies to be good. The filming got better as it went a long, like the Star Wars series. Personally I never even finished the first book, which I was reading in 4th grade. It was boring before Moria, I didn't make it to the Mines so I don't know if it gets better.

If you want to know a movie that shouldn't have ever been created then there's a lot. Those silent movies where all you do is read subtitles. Then there's a movie which could have been better, Pirates of the Carribean could have been better by being Ninjas of the Carribean...

VirusZero - January 10, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
those silent films, I would say they shouldn't have been made, but... the problem with that is if they were never made then we wouldn't be where we are now in regards to movies technology and story lines.

Dictator - January 10, 2007 03:45 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but if Lord of the Rings wasn't made the film companies wouldn't have some million dollars more then they have, so... Though technology is more important then money that goes into getting more money...

Black Angel - January 11, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
The Ladies Man, Anchorman, Meteor Man..

there'll be more..

Mystic Mage - January 11, 2007 07:03 AM (GMT)
After Madagasca they made tones of other weird animal films... I think the only one of those that should of been made is Over the Hedge
I don't think Cars should of been made... tooooooo childish

Snowflame - January 11, 2007 11:40 AM (GMT)
And what about the scary movie called Saw 1 and Saw 2?

Sephiroth - January 11, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
I kinda liked space jam...but what i realy think that should be banned from the cinema industry is the resident evil movies....they completly disrupt the whole meaning of the name resident evil and not to mention the damn story line...completly out of context....i mean, resident evil series are famous not because of the gameplay, there are alots of survival horror games with a much better gameplay than resident evil,bu because of the story line....that's what makes me continuing buying the games...the movies....a shame....i also think that jurassic park 3 was a little bit too much....i think that they should had stayed in jurasic par 2...

Dictator - August 16, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
Now they're making a fourth Jurassic park.

Black Angel - August 16, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
Will the original characters be in it?

Dictator - August 16, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
Well, Grant most definitely I believe. I'm not sure about the rest of the cast... Maybe Ian will make a return appearance. I just remember reading about it around the time I heard Transformers would be making a movie.

Sephiroth - August 16, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)

Is that for real? i think that they should have stoped with the second movie...i mean the third movie was completly uncalled for, if not a reminiscence of the first one...

A.J. The Echidna - September 1, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
An American Tail 3. I will only say this once before it is written in annuls of history. NO ONE is happy to live in Manhattan regardless of what any dancing mouse can convince you.

Daddy Day Camp. I have nothing to say about this one.

Are We There/Done Yet? Two terrible movies that shouldn't have even been thought of.

Hulk. As much as I like superhero movies, Hulk was the worst excuse for the genre I've ever seen and that's saying alot seeing how I own Batman and Robin on video. Hopefully the new Hulk movie will be ten times better than it predecessor.

sambambam - September 4, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
they should have never made mister bean never never never.

You ain't lying about that.. remember that day we all went after school?

Can you believe they had the AUDACITY to make another? :ermm:

VirusZero - September 5, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
Hmm, another set of movies that shouldn't have been made were:

direct to disc disney sequels. (They're just for disney to make more money off the same old tired stories.)
many movies staring rowan atkinson (mr. bean. They're all stupid and pointless)
many of will ferrel's movies (same reason as rowan atkinson...)
many of ben stillers movies (again, the same reason)

A.J. The Echidna - September 5, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
Can somebody say Pokemon 4Ever? Come on Japanese Nintendo anime people, time traveling Prof.Oak? Are you kidding me? The only good part of that movie was the theory of Pokemon being stronger when they are enraged. I'm happy they used that little tidbit in the Story mode of Pokemon Coliseum.

Funk Master P - September 8, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
Eragon...

The actions scenes were aceptable, everything else was horrible, even if I hadn't read to book. I was looking forward to it so much, when I saw it I almost cried I was so dissapointed.
