Finally! I've been in this school for 3 year and we finally have a
SNOW DAY!

blazermax - February 8, 2007 11:07 AM (GMT)
a snowday is when it snows so much that your school gets closed.
MaranX - February 8, 2007 12:24 PM (GMT)
Lucky, in my place they wouldn't close the school even if there would be blizzard armagedon. :ph43r:
Dictator - February 8, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
Even if you had meteor showers? I'm not in meteor shower climate so I don't experience them, but I am in asteroid climate. I hate space precipitation.
We've had three closings this year, one for a fog delay, and two for too cold of temperature.
Mystic Mage - February 8, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
That's strange  Fog delays?
Dictator - February 8, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
It becomes so foggy in the morning, even after 2 hours, that buses can't get through on the road safely.
VirusZero - February 8, 2007 11:09 PM (GMT)
I've never had a snow day while at university, but in highschool there was a whole week I had off cause a blizzard took out the powerlines and buried us in over 4 feet of snow (seriously in one night we got 50cm of snow 50cm = 1 foot 7 inches of snow )
Dictator - February 9, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
From what I hear, it takes a lot to have college classes canceled. So that must be a lot.
I remember when it snowed nearly 4feet once, I had to shovel it out of my driveway.
Snowflame - February 9, 2007 06:41 AM (GMT)
I renember when I was in sixth grade, school was cancelled, because dozens of teachers couldn't drive to school by cause of 2 feet of snow and high winds. And it was still snowing that day.
Dark Mage - February 9, 2007 06:43 AM (GMT)
Be grateful you get snow at all,we only do in ONE SPOT,and it's in some mountains down south.... :...:

Dictator - February 9, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
It's colder then it was monday and tuesday yet they won't cancel school here. -_- I'm exhausted and wish they would just cancel it.
Chaotic Newbie - February 9, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)

Ah man...I'll never have a Snow Day in my school life...I'm here in California, and just like it says...It doesn't snow, but it does Hail rarely. Hail is the closest thing I'll get to snow. Heck, I've never even seen real snow! Only time it felt like it was actually snowing was that one outdoor mall I went to during December, and Disneyland during December too. They made it snow, and when I was at the outdoor mall, (In the middle of a desert might I add) it actually felt like it was really snowing. It was amazing...Although I knew it wasn't real snow...I was still really happy.
Mystic Mage - February 10, 2007 11:49 AM (GMT)
Snow is one of the many wonders of the world
Dictator - February 10, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
Not really, it helps form ice which makes me almost slip while walking to school.... Ice kills man, it kills.... So does chocolate but that's a totally different subject.
Anyways, don't worry, you could have school canceled because of hail. Think about it, if giant pieces come flying down how will you protect your head and stop yourself from getting a concussion?
Chaotic Newbie - February 10, 2007 06:47 PM (GMT)
Put your books on or over your head and run like the wind!
VirusZero - February 10, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
not gonna help if the hail is coming down in chunks the size of baseballs. but then again anything in excess can kill you. If you get a ton of feathers dropped on you then it's gonna kill ya even if its only feathers.
Shadic_X - February 11, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
I've only had 1 snow day this year.
Sephiroth - February 11, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Welll...it looks like this year in portugal, it isn't going to snow like it did last year...too bad...
Mystic Mage - February 12, 2007 08:49 AM (GMT)
Don't worry i'll fly some over ;D
Snowflame - February 12, 2007 01:38 PM (GMT)
I haerd that places in north America, are having lots of feets of snow. And its still continuing
Chaotic Newbie - February 12, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Places like Pittsburgh and such. New York had a couple.
Dictator - February 12, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
It was snowing earlier today here. Also, northern Ohio will be recieving some but I don't live far north so I won't recieve too much.
Chaotic Newbie - February 12, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
Aren't you the lucky one.
Dictator - February 12, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
No, because I have two more snow days left. Few more and I have to take extra days into my summer break.
Snowflame - February 13, 2007 10:04 AM (GMT)
saphirekitty - February 13, 2007 02:55 PM (GMT)
it's supposed to snow at 5:00 today but i doubt we'd hav a snowday. i havent had a snowday since i came to this school. even wen it snows......ALOT! they always get the sno away frum the school in tyme -_-
Snowflame - February 13, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Probaly because there can be traffic, accidents and others. So they do it very early before daylight.
Dictator - February 13, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
Make that one day left for us now.
Mystic Mage - February 14, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)

I have a plan
Just involves chaos and destruction
Dictator - February 14, 2007 03:25 PM (GMT)
Well, apparently we're in heavy snow waning and some parts have blizzard warning. Also I have 0 days left, sucks for me.
Chaotic Newbie - February 14, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
I never seen snow here where I am. It never snows in Alabama anyway. That sucks since we have to wait until Spring Break which is all the way in March.
Black Angel - February 14, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
We just got a nasty mix of ice, sleet, snow, and rain..
Dictator - February 14, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah I heard New Yorks been getting a lot of nasty weather lately. Here we were on a level 3 warning, now we're back on a level 2.
