Title: Links to cool or useful sites
Description: Put em here and share the INFO

Mr. Nest - May 17, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
I'll make it Short and Sweet
Here you can post links to cool and useful websites.
Allow me to make myself perfectly clear......
Do not under any circumstances, post links to sites dedicated to Pornography, Cracks, Warez, Shock sites, Racism, Bestiality, etc...
Doing so will cause me or one of the other admins or mods, to remove your link, and you will be warned via PM of it.
Now on to what you can post....
Sites with free sprites, music, photos, tutorials, web hosting, computer tips, jokes, comics, art, Legitimately free software (ie open source like firefox, open office, thunderbird, etc.), funny sites, I think you get the Idea...

So please share what you know or have found in the dense jungle that is the Internet, and help some people to navigate its Treacherous paths to a safe haven.

I'll start it off, with this site that has cool uses for stuff that you never thought of.

like using bounce fabric softner sheets as a Mosquito repellent, or WD-40 to attract fish, or Irish spring as a deer repellent (I am not making this up guys)
Wacky uses

the first thing I am gonna do is make my own playdoh ;D

When posting your link:

Use the Template below.

CODE
[b]Link:[/b]
[b]Description:[/b]

Note: This is not a place where you can advertise your sites, but rather, a place where you can share the links you find useful with everyone. Any attempt to advertise your clan, website or forum will be removed, and repeated posting of them will result in a warning.

List of ips used by comment spammers..

This would probably help us cut down on the number of spambots..

are RPG game sites ok to put in? I'm just asking before I put it in.

Black Angel - June 25, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)
That would probably be better served in either the rp section, or the gaming section, since this area is only for pc-related topics and links..

Any good, free, anti virus software?

VirusZero - June 22, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Ah... Free antivirus software. Yes, I do have a link for that, though it may be a bit late...

AVG antivirus.

Free for home users (Though you can still buy it as a full package and get AVG's professional version which includes a number of other goodies, but if all your after is cheap and effective antivirus, then AVG will do superbly.) Only thing I caution about free Antiviruses is that they tend to update a bit slower so just pay extra mind and be a bit more vigiliant when on the net.

Yotohan - June 23, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
lol... "virus" Zero is giving out "antivirus" software, ey? .... very suspicious.... <_<... XD jk. Ironic though, i must say. And true Irony is a hard case to pinpoint, but VirusZero is a master of it XD

Neoaptt - June 23, 2008 07:37 PM (GMT)
Well if you think about it. Its Virus"Zero" so maybe so has ZeroVirusess?

Link - June 25, 2008 09:10 PM (GMT)

through your computer out the window!!!

You never liked it befor did you? So through it out the window!!!

*Prepared to catch it and run away*

VirusZero - June 25, 2008 09:26 PM (GMT)
Hmm... that anti-virus it installed wouldn't happen to be called something like:
"Live care" or "Live one" would it? Because if it is, then I'd uninstall it asap because it isn't antivirus, and i's not very good anyway.
(What it is, is actually a program to prevent malicious programs from installing and running. But the problem is there is no live scanning/protection on default so any program can install and reside until you forcibly or auto scan. Unless you forcibly find the auto-protection and enable it... But in doing so it takes a massive chunk of your available ram. For my laptop which has 1 gig ram it took nearly 25 megs on it's own... which is half what mcaffee takes and it is monsterous on it's own. And all this comes into effect for start up times. )

But as for the irony around my name... I don't know how to write viruses but I know a decent amount about how to get rid of them, and I'm more than happy to share the knowledge, hence VirusZero as in no viruses here. (Though I also kinda picked the name as Zero from the MMX series is one of my favourite characters and VirusZero sounds cooler than VirusX... )

It was something random, It instantly changed my desktop into some sort of active webpage and linked me to some anti-virus stuff. I quickly used AVG to run a full scan on my computer, rebooted my computer and problem was solved.

Thanks. You saved me and my computer!
