If you were God, would you show yourself so that more people will believe in you, or would you stay hidden and see which people believed you existed?
If I were god I would relinquish my powers after createing man, so in no way shape or form could any of them be used for an unjust reason. After which I would take the role of a normal human withen the role I have created, and keep my secret till my grave, that I would.
This is actually something I've thought about for a long time. However, even if I didn't show myself, people believe something supernatural or greater is always backing the most incredible of things. People try to make answers up, so even if I was God and didn't show myself, people would still believe I was behind the nature of most things.
I really wouldn't show myself though. It's not so people would believe in me either. It's the pure fact of human reaction. They wouldn't know what to think. Some would be in fear, others would lose all fear. Chaos would be created no doubt. And above that, human nature should -not- be interfered with.
You have a good point Dictator. But there is a way to show yourself without showing yourself.

A.K.A. Miricles.
I wouldn't show myself. People ask enough from thier God as it is. Can you imagine to requests people would ask of God if he were right in your backyard.
