Yep..
only this guy's face wasn't as detailed as the cavemen in the geico commercials.. he looked like a cheap knock-off..

TV is a wasteland, they're so desperate they'll do anything. And I mean ANYTHING (as one person said) to capture those eyeballs and deliver them to the ad companies for massive profits.

And it's the same with reality shows. Patton Oswalt, one of my favorite comedians, said that one day we're going to look out on the horizon and see a giant, blank, white wall of silence slowly coming toward us and we're going to ask "What's that?" and all the producers will say "That's 4:30 tomorrow afternoon. There's no more reality left, WE FILMED IT ALL!"

Don't get me wrong now, the idea of a caveman, who was once presumed extinct , trying to adjust to, and live and co-exist in a modern-day society isn't exactly a new one.. (see: Encino Man) but I do admit that it is entertaining, or at the very least, has the potential to be.
However, I'd be a lot less skeptical if the idea for this show were presented BEFORE Geico's cavemen campaign, or after the movie hit the box office. Otherwise, I am just going to think that it is Geico's off-handed way of advertising..
I'd think the same way if Coca-Cola, or Pepsi, had commercials showing Steve Urkel being picked on, and constantly rejected by Laura Winslow, and then finding a can of Coke or Pepsi, drinking it, and then becomes Stefan Urkell or at least invents the machine allowing him to do so, and then the TV execs decided to make a sitcom showing the same thing.
