Title: Have you ever..
Black Angel - August 14, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
Have you ever seen a movie that you thought was awesome when you were younger, and watched it again when you were older and realized that is was stupid, and felt silly for watching it again?
If so, what movie did you watch?
Dictator - August 14, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
For me... It was a Disney movie. It was this movie where they were roller blading and stuff... The main dude, he betrays his friends to join this one team instead of helping them out... I don't know all the details, but the thing is.. it was really cheesy.. especially this line.
Girl: Did you really throw that milkshake in his face?
Main dude: Yeah, and it was chocolate!
Girl: How did it feel?
Main dude: It was -COOL- -and- SAWEET.
... yeah.. Also, Mortal Kombat, the movies seemed so much better when I was younger. First is still decent, but the second.. Geez... Looks like Power Rangers acting.

For me,
Golden Child.. ok, so that was an ok movie, but god, did they really have to make the kid make a pepsi can dance, before the ogrish looking dude?
It couldn't have been for the kids, because well, there was a lot of gun play, as well as sexual references in the movie.. so really, who was it for anyway?
The Johnny 5 movies.. with the robot, honestly, when i was younger I did feel bad when Johnny 5 was shot up, but hey! He got an upgrade so it's all good..
If you don't know, ask your parents, or google it..
Howard the Duck, <= ok, so I never really thought that it was a good movie but come on.. the name itself deserves a mention.. and no, it was NOT a cartoon.
Pretty much any movie putting cartoon characters, and humans together that wasn't "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" *cough* Space Jam *cough*
I've plenty more where that came from, I just have to remember them..

i have lots, just give me a moment to think.... :ermm:
aha! any time watch reruns of old animes *pokemon, yugioh, naruto, otheeer stuff* i constantly critisize on how corny the lines te characters have, AND the stupidity of how any time they meet a rare monster in a movie on pokemon or "supposed" save the world, in the regular series they if it neer happened. They do this for naruto too but its not really expected for them to act any diffrent since it's only a mission/ask or whatever they call it....
Dictator - August 15, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
lol. I know what you mean. I remember when I was young and watched Yu-Gi-Oh that they would always say something like, "Now I put this monster face down in defense mode."
Or, "I have put a trap card down.. When you attack me it'll activate but you don't know what it does. hahahahaha!"
So cheesy..

The Sandlot is without a doubt an awesome movie. Hmm, I really don't think there are any movies that I could say are...oh wait, I can. Any of the Land Before Time movies and maybe an American Tail. haven't seen AT in awhile so I can't be sure on that one but Land Before Time is definitely a yes.
Black Angel - August 16, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
Yes, I agree, the Sandlot was an awesome movie..
It was about baseball, and well Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, was very cute.
Sephiroth - August 16, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
Yeah... Power Rangers the movie...i was pretty amazed at the time, but nowadays i kinda think that it is a pretty crapy movie....tough the music is kinda cool "go, go powers rangers"
Black Angel - August 16, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
Ok ok.. I admit, that I used to like power rangers.. or at least the first episode..
then I saw the episode where something got ahold of the pink ranger's purse, and next thing you know, you have them fighting against her make-up..
I cringed at how stupid that was..
BlackDevilX - August 16, 2007 05:08 PM (GMT)
Power rangers were ethnically and socially immoral...
Black guy Black ranger
Asian girl yellow ranger
Ditzy girl pink ranger
Super jock red ranger.
I dont remebr the green one or blue ones
Sephiroth - August 16, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
The nerd one was the blue one and the green and later on, white ranger was the coolest guy with long hair....Seeing things from that perspective kinda kills the excitement about power rangers...

God, sometimes it is like you read my mind.. I thought the exact same thing.. even as I posted that.

The best part is the green ranger never left the show. He's been in pretty much every season.
Black Angel - August 16, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
Did the green ranger ever have red hair or freckles?
Dictator - August 16, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
lmao. I was thinking about him being Irish as I was going down.
Yeah... And the the graphics. If they got kicked. i mean, just kicked by a foot, sparks would fly from them. It's like they were all mechanical or something.

saphirekitty - August 16, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)

Dictator - August 16, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)

Initialy the green ranger, had a great role in the first seasons of the show, nowadays he is just an ordinary ranger, being the red ranger the best of them all...

How about the Live Action Street Fighter movie? When I was a kid, I liked it. But now I'm all "How the f*** I enjoyed THAT?"
