Is a show experience any different the a practice? I know not everyone has had to perform, but this was a question I had. Today I thought that it'd be different. I had to play at Half-time of our school's football game and I didn't know how I'd perform, but I learned I was actually pretty comfortable today and that it didn't feel any different. What are your opinions?

I'd say that they aren't all that different.. I felt that way when I was a cheerleader, and the captain kept trying to put the pressure on us.. I just said to myself that it'd be no different than any other practice, and ha there was no need to be nervous as we had practiced our routine many times. Once I realized that, performing was pretty easy.

The closest thing I've had to a something like a practice/show experience is when I do a fireworks display.
All the eyes watching you put the finishing touches on the set up... Then as it gets closer to show time more people show up and anxiously await the opening shot(s).

And there's no real practice, you learn it as you go. Your practice happens as you perform, and theres a bit of pressure cause you gotta be careful of what your doing and gotta keep a good pace. But other than that, you don't even really pay attention to the people, until after it's all over. (And if it was a good show then people yelling, cheering and laughing. If not... well then nothing is said.)

lol. Fireworks can be pretty amazing. Especially the ones I saw in D.C on the 4th of July. I used to see those all the time when I lived in Virginia...

In 3 weeks we're going to have our first contest. It worries me that I might forget the music, I might fail to play when I need to. I might be off somewhere, and if any of that happens eyes would be on me. That's where the pressure is, but if I just focus on the music, the entire background just seems to vanish, in an instant the song seems over.
