Title: Closed Minded

Are you closed minded? or if not, do you know any closed minded people? How do you react when you have conversations with them?

I'm not closed minded, I'm only stubborn [pretty much the same] however I am open to new ideas. I do know some close minded people and when I talk to them I feel like grabbing them by the throat and ripping their esophogus out with my mouth, but only in an argument.

im pretty open minded, but i have alotta closed minded friends. Stubborn is some what like closed minded but being stubborn is just hard to move, closed minded is that its not gonna budge, like at all, even when it knows its wrong.
Blazer is like this sometimes, which is why i argue with him often :idontknow:
in the end, when im argueing with a close minded person just give up. It gets to the point where im just tired of hearing their voice and tired of wasting my time.

I love arguing and wasting time, as long as I don't feel strongly about the topic.

I'm not closed minded myself, but I do know a lot of people who are. No offense to any religion, but I typically find that religious people are more closed minded then those not. However, that is good in a way, it show support toward their faith.
When I converse with them I simply end a conversation with letting them have their opinion, trying to force mine into their eyes is pure ignorance or stupidity as it may seem like I am the closed minded person then.

That just pisses me off. I'm somewhat religios, but I listen whenever people have a logical argument against my beliefs to see if they have a valid point or if it makes no sence at all. However when people pretend to listen and say the exact opposite, or just the same thing in stupider wording, with no proof or anything whatsoever to back them up.

That's why I'm agnostic. To me, at least, it makes the most sense. But I've also come to a logical standpoint between religious points of views and faith. There's a huge tie between them, which allows me to understand why, even without any direct proof, people can remain religious. But I also understand the idea that comes from science. Then my agnostic beliefs seem to make most sense to me though.
However... intolerance and ignorance spreads way further then that.. I could detail more about how I feel and stuff when people are too stubborn to even consider other options.

To me, there is no point in arguing or even debating with a closed-minded person. Doing so would be synonymous with arguing with a wall. People will think what they want to regardless of what anyone says even if they have the facts to back it up.
That said, I pity them for their ignorance, and their choice to remain uneducated, and have nothing to do with them. ( My great-grandmother used to say that you can tell a lot about a person, by the company they keep.)

I can be sometimes closed minded.

I'm very open minded personally, and if someone is closed minded I try to help not be so closed minded, if they refuse I go "Screw this" and just leave.
