to start it off, I would like to say that the newest one to be released, Brawl, will now be coming out around FEB.10 2008(according to press releases) and Sonic the Hedgehog WILL be a playable character. official Smash site updates are posted here every weekday. (that is, Mon.-Fri.) go ahead and chat about anything Smash-related.(such as: you know you play Smash too much when-(your answer here) or -funny Smash moment-(experience here) and so on...)

Well the other topic's only about brawl updates really, but we can talk about the other stuff here, as for siggy's, you have to go to your control panel for that, welcome btw.

I remember one time my cousin overwrote my Melee data, so I had to get every single character again, needless to say I was pissed at first, but I quickly took my anger out on him as soon as I got Dr. Mario. *sigh* Now Melee is brokeded *sob.*

The same thing happened to me. My sister erased my data before I finished all Event Matches. Then I had to unlock everything again. My SSBM disc has a crack and barely works on my gamecube. But for some strange reason, it works FINE on my Wii.

I'm gonna be honest, i'm not a very fan of the game itself, but of the characters that are in it. Specialy Mark, you know that little girlish like warrior thing, with blue air...he's the one i play best. Still, i like all the games varieties of events and options that the SSBM have ;)

I'm really good with Link, but I'm hoping to master Sonic when Brawl comes out. I hear he's pretty hard to use.

I WILL master Sonic, but Dr. Mario'll be my back up man, ... mega vitamin, or super tranquelizer? Nobody knows!!! <_<

wave dashers phail. Don't use it and don't learn it, it'll only make the game unfair for those who can't.....Like me.

I actually never gotten a good wavedash in. Not only that, but I think it's the only way to reach the finish line with certain characters.

I still don't know what a wave dash is, I might've done it, but I won't know if I don't know that it is that which I's is doin'.

And Blazer it doesent make it unfair, its unfair to uber buff yourself with AR, wave dashing is normal gameplay mechanics.

Wow, this topic grew fast! :blink: or at least it seems to; the other forum I post at dosn't have many members that still post on it...anyway, wavedashing is hard to master from my point of veiw. I prefer to use OTHER cheap tricks when fighting. <_< one other thing I've noticed is that just about everyone uses either Marth or Roy...some people like to choose DR. Mario, as we've seen. other people, (like my old freind) like to choose random characcters because the're just not good at the game. :lol: while one person I used to know liked Game & Watch. :huh: weird. but anyway, I saw another person had a Wii...I've got one too, wanna give freind codes? :)

also, I'd like to bring up the subject of the NDS...some people think it would be awesome to make a portable Smash...but the issue isn't the systems capabilitys, it's the control. sure, there's no pressure-senseing joystick, but there IS a touch screen. if we could play Metroid Prime: Hunters with it, we can play Smash with it...right? and even if this didn't work, Nintendo would think up a way to do it...seeing as they can make some type of special controller-type thing that would come with the game...but a special stylus(like the Zelda: Phantom Hourglass stylus)would be enough as long as you have the touch screen. BTW, my touch screen is messed up and the calibration test won't work right.(this is because you have to touch it exactly i have found out; some calibration test THAT is... :idontknow: )

lol. They already have a Smash bros for the DS. It's called Jump Ultimate Stars.

I use Link, so I'm one of those rare people huh?

I use any and everyone, my fav's still Dr. Mario, then Zelda, Young Link, Captain Falcon, Purin, Yoshi, DK, Ness, Luigi, Kirby, Mewtwo, Roy, Pikachu, Mr. Game&Watch, ... the rest I pretty much don't use.

I actually use to be good with Kirby, and Roy. But Link became the main character I used after I first played with him, and found it easy to use him.

I choose Young Link over Link for two reasons, well actually three now that I think about it:

1. The fire arrow.
2. Wall hoppin'.
3. Up special.

*sigh* I wish I still had Melee, ... I just had a stupid idea.

His attacks are much weaker compared to Link, even if his arrows are stronger. In a one on one fight against Link and Young Link, I think Link takes it. But it all depends on the skill of the player.

I know what ya mean, the only competition I really had was my cousins, and none of 'em could beat me with link, unless it was SSD with a 2.0 damage ratio, then it was pretty much even. Still I'd piss 'em off with Dr. Mario's bed sheet o' doom!

No, my cousin's idiotic friend left it out and it got more messed up than it was. It was bent, and cracked but it worked fine, ... until he got to it.

Not to sure about people who can use the wavedash though considering I've never heard of it until a couple of days ago. I have a question, why the fugglenuggets did they include Pichu as a hidden character? Ganondorf is a better clone than he/she/it is.

pichu is faster then pikachu and his side+B is a 1hit kill when its fully charged
