Title: Are you kidding me?
Black Angel - November 15, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
Apparently, Santas in Austrailia aren't allowed to say "Ho, Ho, Ho," they now have to say "Ha, Ha, Ha" because apparently it is offensive to women, and it "scares" children..
*sniffs*
I smell something in the air..
Is it christmas cookies?
No, its the putrid stench of bullshit..
Has political correctness gone too far?
What are your thoughts?
Funk Master P - November 15, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
Australia's ****ed up. But they do have kangaroos. So I gues they're ok...for now.
*walks away* Uuuuughhhh, I stepped in somthing.
ClockHass - November 16, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
Come on, ho ho ho. It's a classic joke. Don't ruin it by actually taking it seriously. Don't ruin the Christmas ho with a simple ha.
Black Angel - November 16, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
This was no joke.. it was on the news this evening..
blazermax - November 16, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
they minus well get rid of santaclaws over there all together then
VirusZero - November 16, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
OH NO Santa has been declared public enemy number 1, what with all that sneaking into children's home, watching them when they sleep (and that's just one night)
So lets see Santa must be the first to earn break and enter over 300 million times a year, and minimum 300 million counts of pedophilia... And he's been doing this for how many years?
And they're worried about him saying "HO HO HO"? They're a bunch of %^&in' morons.
Black Angel - November 16, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Yeah apparently santa is a pedophile.. he gives your kids presents for sitting on his lap.. ooh the rat bastard..

Hey, I find that offensive, for I'm Australian, and we are NOT fucked up thank you.. :WHAT?!:
And I obviously know about that and I agree that it's just pathetic....

No, I know that's no joke. But the whole ho ho ho thing. Yeah... If Australia really feels it's necessary to outlaw Santa's laugh then that's up to them. Just don't have ha ha ha. He can wear a red suit, a nice hat, be fat, but if you get rid of ho don't go ha.

*sigh* I've never hated my government more then I do now.

As long as Santa stays fat, I'm down. Have you ever seen a skinny Santa? *shudders*

With what they have done to Cookie Monster, and the supposed ousting of Oscar on sesame street, I don't reckon that Santa will stay fat for long..
Just call it a hunch.
Gameshrk90 - November 17, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
If this happened where I lived, I don't care what the cost is. I'd sue the government for infringing upon both freedom of speech and religion!
ClockHass - November 17, 2007 02:40 AM (GMT)
It's not really freedom of religion... Christmas when actually looked upon could easily be defended as not a religious Holiday. Santa as well can be defended as not a religious figure. His name titles Saint in it, but that's not really what people think of Santa. Atheist celebrate Christmas, etc... Freedom of speech.. that's another story.

Supposedly, Oscar was removed because of image concerns, in that they worried that he'd be sending the wrong message.. and Cookie Monster's name was changed to "Health Food Monster" or "Veggie Monster" in an effort to combat child obesity..
ClockHass - November 18, 2007 04:23 AM (GMT)
Was it the networks decisions to change those names because that just.. that infuriates me. ;-; As a child I remember Cookie Monster and Oscar. Not these weird... 'Things'
Black Angel - November 18, 2007 05:20 AM (GMT)
I doubt that they will, it would cause too much of an uproar.. however this isn't the first time I've heard about this.. so who knows..
Gameshrk90 - November 18, 2007 05:49 AM (GMT)
... We have to take a stand...

What is this world coming to? No Cookie Monster? I loved that blue furry thing that I watched when I was little. D:
