Ok so we know people watch anime, but how many people have read manga? If you've read manga, do you prefer it over anime? if so, why do you prefer it over anime? if not, why not?
And what are your favourite mangas?

I like manga, I really helps to draw the suspense, and dosn't give you a headache as easily. ;D I read Bleach, Hikaru No Go, Naruto, Zatch Bell!, Kingdom Hearts(yes, there is a manga for it now), and an old one that they don't translate into english anymore ( :'( ) called Pokemon Adventures. Manga also helps reading skills, and it let's you appreiciate the cool art. ;) Plus the graphic novels are collectable, so that just adds to the fun! :)

i love helsing mangas because it's like buster said more interesting with what's going on and a great oportunity to draw your favorite characters. I'm trying to collect death note mangas (i've heard it for the first time in an anime convention on march and it really picked my interest) and i gotta say it's exacly the same as the anime ...so far (i got the second book, i'll get the first and third by thursday)

I read alot of manga.

I actually prefer it over anime.

But i like to see certain scenes animated.

So far I've only read:
Battle Angel Alita (and was reading Last Order as well... )
Bleach (up to chapter 305)
Devil May Cry 3 (The manga... which is unfinished, it ended at volume 2 of a planned 3... )
Hellsing (chapter 1)
Ranma 1/2 (Volume 1)

Bleach, Naruto, Death Note, Love Hina, Hellsing, Dr. Greyman, Fire Candy, Full Metal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter.

I used to consider manga over anime because it was origonal, it almost always comes before the anime. But now I think they're about equal. The anime came after the manga, so the creator can think about what they did and change it to make it better.

...also action scenes are way better if your watching them

Naruto doesn't really interest me that much... and neither does One Piece to be honest... (And I'm talking both manga and anime here.)

Simple, a great place where many, many manga's have been uploaded for viewing pleasure (and it's updated quite frequently too). All translated to english by fans for fans. They include many mangas that might otherwise never be seen by a North American or European crowd.

i like to see the anime 'cause they show things that in manga would take more pages to cover no matter how minimal. Death note anime ( last saturday) man was that a good episode light and...well i don't want to be a spoiler for those who havent seen it on both versions
