Title: Just a Heads Up
Dark Mage - December 10, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
I may or may not seem REALLY pissed off for a few days, my control freak of a sister's showing up to visit for god knows how long.
And if I had $20 I'd bet that I'm gonna be pissed off by the end of this more then once.
Phantos - December 10, 2008 11:26 PM (GMT)
Whoa. I hope you don't get pissed off.
Zerosen - December 11, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
tch, impossible. You know that DM is gonna have a helluva time XD
Dark Mage - December 11, 2008 01:50 PM (GMT)
Oh yes, I'm having so much fun.
The bright side is she seems to have learnt her lesson from last time she was here, so we haven't really had a fight yet.
I think this is a new record.
blazermax - December 11, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
What happened "last time"
Zerosen - December 11, 2008 10:13 PM (GMT)
I'm curious too, exactly what did happen last time?
BlackDevilX - December 11, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
Yes...tell us of this....'last time' you speak of.
Dark Mage - December 12, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
We ended up screaming our heads off at each other cause I wanted to stay in my room and then mum yelled at her and came and made sure I was ok and then the next day we had multiple screaming matches, on my mother's birthday and then mum ended up crying and yet I got alot of the blame just cause I wanted to be in my room and away from my sister cause I knew we'd fight.
Phantos - December 12, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
So you were arguing to prevent an argument? *shot*
Dark Mage - December 12, 2008 12:55 AM (GMT)
That and she can't handle I'm so anti social and hate being around my family cause I have NOTHING in common with most of my family.
Phantos - December 12, 2008 01:04 AM (GMT)
Ohhh. Now I get it. Well, that kinda sucks.
BlackDevilX - December 12, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)

You're family. That something to talk about right there.
Dark Mage - December 12, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
Not a very close or good one either.
I'm only close to mum and my two cousins who live with us.
Zerosen - December 12, 2008 04:57 AM (GMT)
you're lucky to be close to them, honestly I'm not so close to any of my family. I'm very anti-social and shy in a new crowd. I'm always afraid of being made a fool or being laughed at. It's just something that makes me shrink away and disappear.
As for my family, my dad and mom were divorced when i was four. The younger of my two older brothers moved out to his dads (they are both my half brothers). Then the other one did too. And then I had a lot of tragedies in my family and I just ran away. I buried myself in my games, computer, I even train with my swords alone. I'm just afraid of going back I guess
Dark Mage - December 12, 2008 06:15 AM (GMT)
I'm the youngest of my siblings, my parents have never being together in my memory whatsoever.
I always spend my time alone.
Magnum_Wolfire - December 12, 2008 08:08 PM (GMT)
Do you have an older brother?
If so, I'm deeply sorry that you didn't establish a connection at least as nearly as powerful as the one I have with my older brother. I know what you mean. I may no longer be, but my base personality is,....well, not anti-social, but simply the strong silent type. However despite that being said, My brother and I have so powerful a connection that we can only glance at each other to know exactly what we're thinking(for the most part. My brother has alot of women under his belt and has been to war so this part is alot weaker now that he's a bachlor with a friggin nicely customized cadillac and whatnot..>_> )
I wish you could feel the power of that type of bond, I really do.
Dark Mage - December 13, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
I've got older brothers yes, but I ain't too fond of them either.
My siblings all have traits or habits I am disgusted by severely and I only see one of my brothers these days anyway, once or twice a year.
Zerosen - December 13, 2008 12:21 AM (GMT)
wow. it sucks that we've all got family problems like this. Weak ties with our family, anti-social lives. I'll admit that I spend most of my life in shadows. I hardly turn on a light. It really sucks like how many of us can be this way. I hardly see my brothers as well, I was never close to them. Guys, I think it really sucks that we're not so close to our families :'(
Dark Mage - December 13, 2008 02:28 AM (GMT)
For me it's somewhat good cause my family's pretty f-ed up.
ClockHass - December 13, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
I don't agree with some of the habits my oldest brother has, bu I don't condone him for what he does or what he's done. One thing to understand is that there is a reason behind every person's actions. Everyone develops in a certain way so certain things are acceptable to different people.
Another thing, you can't automatically assume you understand everything in their lives going on. There is a dark side to everyone, hidden away. Unless you're a mind reader, you can't possibly know the experiences one faces.
I'm not judging you, so I hope I'm not coming off in a judgmental way. I want to point out these facts, or help remind you of them if you've already had the satisfaction of these epiphanies.
For me, I personally am more open to people less egotistical, or with a personality stigma I can relate to. I've faced challenges that make me feel certain ways about certain things and certain personas, characters.
This isn't about that though.
I don't know what sort of relationship you have exactly with your family DM, but my recommendation is to, every time you see your relatives, try to remind yourself to give them a chance again. Your family is like none other, they deserve more chances then the average Joe. If you have any awkward grudges, try to apologize for those.
Once again... I have no personal connection to any of your family, I don't know them. I can't tell what causes your feelings of discomfort toward them, or what causes it from them to you. I can only grant my personal experience from friendships and family to you, hoping it may help. Nothing in my words was meant as offense either, if you find any in there.
VirusZero - December 13, 2008 05:22 AM (GMT)
Sort of building on what ClockHass said about the unknown side...
Remember that your not the oldest of the family, and while this detail may seem a bit trivial in writing, it's actually quite alot different. Speaking from experience... the oldest sibling takes considerably more fire than the others. Have you thought of the pressure of having to set the example for your other siblings? Being the first in your family to have to do something? The pressure of having to do everything well to live up to expectations that your parents have for you? If you think it's bad being a younger sibling, then amplify it quite a bit because the highest expectations and greatest weight always falls onto the oldest.
Dark Mage - December 13, 2008 06:31 AM (GMT)
As I said, my family's VERY fucked up, I'm not following any of my sibling's lead because they never gave me a example to follow.
No one but my mother has ever bothered to set a good example, if I am who I am, it's largely because of her.
Mystic - December 13, 2008 09:06 AM (GMT)
I have 2 older sister which are very strongly bonded and then i'm 8 years odd younger than them and I haven't got any strong bonds with them.
That said I have a pretty good strong bond with my father compared to them but my sisters have a strong bond with my mum...
The way I've been brought up is very much like a only child after 6 or 7 as my sisters left home so I've always been pretty independent
But yeah it'll happen with most family (most of my friends have a family like that), but mainly only in the same gender to be honest (which makes sense if you think about it)
Phantos - December 13, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
I am the older child between me and my younger brother. I have to set a good example, even though there is a large gap between us and I'm soon going to graduate.
Zerosen - December 15, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
I'm the youngest of three boys. One's in the military and he's 22. the other is married and he's 21. but if you're the older brother then I can at least say....
ALWAYS PULL OUT A LITTLE JOHNNY JOKE ONCE IN A WHILE XD
Little Johnny was not the best student in Sunday School. Usually he slept through the class. One day the teacher called on him while he was napping, ’’Tell me, Johnny, who created the universe?’’
When Johnny didn’t stir, little Mary, an altruistic girl seated in the chair behind him, took a pin and jabbed him in the rear. ’’God Almighty !’’ shouted Johnny and the teacher said, ’’Very good’’ and Johnny fell back to sleep.
A while later the teacher asked Johnny, ’’Who is our Lord and Savior?’’ But Johnny didn’t even stir from his slumber. Once again, Mary came to the rescue and stuck him again. ’’Jesus Christ!’’ shouted Johnny and the teacher said, ’’Very good,’’ and Johnny fell back to sleep.
Then the teacher asked Johnny a third question, ’’What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?’’ And again, mary jabbed her with the pin. This time Johnny jumped up and shouted, ’’If you stick that damn thing in me one more time, I’ll break it in half!’’
The Teacher fainted.
Phantos - December 16, 2008 12:40 AM (GMT)

Zerosen - December 16, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
