Well it's safe to say that this game will be worth the money when it comes out

Discuss?

I thought it was already out--oh wait, that was one guy who somehow got access to it.

He grew bored of the redundancy. If he did, then I will.

But not after a few weeks of playing. When I get it, I'm hoping to pwn it up with Cecil, Tidus, Jetch, Seph, and Zidane.

Trance mode FTW.

They've got every hero and every villain from all across Final Fantasy lore. I'd love to see a grudge match between Garland(FF) and Sephiroth(FF7).

Oh, I meant when it comes out in America.

Jecht is defiantly a power-house, he's freaking relentless.
Onion Knight is the fastest, no doubt.
Cecil in Paladin Mode has the best aerial.

Didja want me to post my impressions on the characters?
(I'm just gonna copy it from the other forums I posted them at lawl)

Lol its a pretty good game, ive played it a few times. Its fast paced and good controls.

has the action like Advent children. careful though the battles can get quite hectic and you can lose track of what you are doing XD

Too bad. My parents got me the DS, not the PSP. I hate the DS. I never touch it. =/ The game looks pretty BA too.

Sure, shoot for it. I've no interest in about half of the characters, but it'd be nice to know what I'll be getting pissed off with before hand. lol

YEAH CHARACTER IMPRESSIONS

But these are EARLY impressions. As in I still need to level up the characters and get new moves.(The game is no longer in my possession but I actually level'd up the characters a bit more so ask if you want to know more about a particular one)

WoL- Pretty decent, overall character. He would be the overall rounded character I'd say. You can easily connect with his moves and his Ex-Mode attack is easy to pull off.

Garland- Kinda slow, but I sorta like how he drags that huge sword around. His moves are good except for his air HP attack, his Ex-Mode is very good due to Super Armor and his attack is easy to pull off.

Firion- Right now he kinda sucks because all he has at the moment are arrows. It'll probably change once I level up a bit more. Ex-Mode is good due to healing the same amount as the damage you do. The only thing is the arrows can be easily dodged. He'll probably be better later on.

Emperor-Very fun to play as but a bit slow. His Brave attacks are traps like Joystick-Down-Circle would be a ground trap which holds the oppenent while shocking them. His normal circle sets up mines. His HP attack is slow but if you can catch your opponent in a trap it can easily hit. Ex-Mode is same as Firion. Only it's easier to hit someone D.gif

Onion Knight- My fav~ Very fast, can jump 5 times, and the trick with Onion Knights is to keep attacking since his attacks don't do very much damage. He gets better later on with his long range HP attack. Ex-Mode upgrades his moves making it easy to go into a Ex-Mode attack. I usually use the Sage version.

CoD- Not too bad, she doesn't have much moves right now but her HP attacks can easily connect with a oppenent, although she's somewhat slow. Her Ex-Mode attack is all about timing. But it's pretty cool, actually.

Cecil- He also seems like a average character. Paladin dominates the air and DK is not too bad on the ground. I think the DK HP attack is better though. Ex-Mode ups his power I believe and the Ex-Mode attack is easy to use.

Golbez-His HP attacks are very good and easy to connect with. His Brave attacks are also pretty good. He's slow like all the other villians though. But he's still a pretty good character.

Bartz(or Butz)-Other fav, he combines all the hero's moves together so one minute you're using Cloud's Buster Sword and the next Squall's Gunblade. He can jump 3 times and has slightly above average speed. His Ex-Mode grants him a special attack which is very useful and his Ex-Mode Attack is easy to pull off. He also has a cheap HP attack.

ExDeath- Oh. My. FREAKING. God. This guy is so slow it's funny. Imagine Ganon. But slower. He's that slow. Thankfully he has a warp move, which makes him somewhat fun to play as. I like his Ex-Mode attack though. If you can master this guy i'm sure you'll be nightmare for other players.

I'll post the other half after someone posts.

Is it only coming out on PSP?

Yeah PSP only

Emotionless-Geek - January 17, 2009 04:21 PM (GMT)
Ah! that sucks! From the way Ryu was talking about it, it sounded like it would be awesome to play on PS3/360

*sigh* another reason to get a PSP

OTHER HALF YEAH.

But like I said EARLY impressions. I still need to level and gain new moves and stuff.

Terra(or Tina)-Somewhat fun to play as. A bit slow and floaty. All of her moves are long range and her HP attacks are very good. And remember how I mentioned Bartz(Butz) has a cheap HP attack? Well he gets it from this lovely lady. Her Ex-Mode lets her glide and the Ex-Mode attack is easy to pull off also.

Kefka(Cefca)- Very amusing~ He sorta slow(like most of the villians) but I forgive him because he's skipping around. Even his jump has a cartoony "Sproing" noise to it. I also love his VA. ANYWHO. After he's done spanking his butt at you, his air brave moves have knockback and somewhat easy to connect. I like his ice ball move because it rolls around the ground. His Ground HP attack is slow to come out but his air one on the other hand is pretty good. His Ex-Mode lets him glide and be more awesome.
His Ex-Mode is easy memorization(which i failed the first time).

Cloud-Another fun character. His moves just blow the opponent away and it looks really cool too, except for his slow-ass fireball which is pretty useless. I love performing Cross-Slash. Ex-Mode attack is really easy to pull, mashing O yeah!

Sephiroth- Also fun and has cool looking moves like Cloud, and also has the useless long range magic attack. Actually has average speed. His range is obviously long with that sword of his and his attacks hit alot. Ex-Mode lets you cast Brave Heart like Joel said. It kinda takes a while to activate but it's somewhat useful. His Ex-Mode attack is the same as Cloud's.

Squall- Right now his moves kinda suck, but I think he'll be better later on because his Brave and HP attacks easily link together. But overall he's not a bad character. Ex-Mode attack is easy to pull off, just hitting R.

Ultimecia- Her Brave attacks are really spammable, and her HP attacks are chargeable. With her there are just arrows flying all over the place. Ex-Mode is the same as Squall's. I really like her Ex-Mode attack though. Not much to say about her at the moment.

Zidane- Very agile character, can jump 3 times. His Air Brave attacks link into knockback attacks which is useful. His Ground HP attack is sorta sucky. But his Air HP attack is very nice~ His Ex-Mode lets him be even more agile allowing 10 jumps. His Ex-Mode attack is easy. Just mash O

Kuja- I hate playing against him. All of his attacks and long-range and hard to dodge. He can also glide so it's also hard to get away. He's not hard to use either. His Ex-Mode makes the surface area around him burst into flames whenever he lands. Ex-Mode is cool, dominating the opponent with maaaagic.

Tidus- He's really good. He can attack you and then be a nice distance away from you so you can't attack him. His HP attacks are also very good. I love it when he's like "REEADEEE GO!" and "GAMU SETO". His Ex-Mode attack is just like from his game. Timing.

Jecht- HOLY SHIT SO COOL. This guy is all about overwhelming. His attacks require wind up but if you contact he's like "ORA ORA ORA!" and keeps attacking you. His Ex-Mode is even more overwhelming due to removal of the wind up. Also his Ex-Mode attack is pretty badass. This is one of my fav characters.

So what's the main storyline? I've heard nothing about it.(Er, well I have, but I'd like to know what goes on in the game)
