Title: I haz returned

technogeek - January 16, 2009 06:29 PM (GMT)
Yea yea ur probably thinking..."oh its just technogeek...who cares..." or you might be thinking.."technogeek left?" or you might be thinkin something else....

regardless

I have returned to hellblaze after a....2 week? sebaticle i believe.. we gots a new skin i see and a new me.....well...maby not completley new.....

but i just wanted to say i took a break from everything and have returned to hellblaze calmly.....

just a few things i thought about while i was gone..

first off i wanted to say i'm sorry.. Dm i'm sorry i tried to "force religion upon you" as that was not my intention....Im sorry for my outbursts...i'll try to work on that....

my thoughts about what happened....I believe i got to where i was because the discussions had started by asking for our thoughts, views, and oppinions....while it sounds like a good idea on papper....what will happen(which was the case with me) is people will post their views and oppinions which in my case happened to be based on religion and peopple are going to dissagree with that... now after the dissagreements comes heated arguments which leads to outbursts..which then leads to warn level increases which i admit i had comming to me...which will in time lead to a ban....I don't want that to happen to anyone...let alopne myslelf..

so just a thought...asking for some thoughts may be a good idea once in a while but asking for all views opinions...etc.. i belive is not a good idea.... maby only ask for views on less controversial topics.....

I don't know why but one topic that kees occuring on this forum is sex...weather it be pre-marital...virgins at young age...etc. I think we've covered all those topics and i don't think they need to be brought back or new topics be started about any view on sex....trust me i think we've seen that enough... religion....this is kinda hard to say...but at the risk of getting banned and whatnot i don't think we should not talk about this either...lets talk about the fun stuff again....you know heated arguments about what games suck and what games rock and all that... anyway this is just my thoughts on the matter and i hope a lot of you will feel the same way....

so yea im back..weeeeee...... later

Welcome back.. :)

You've got to understand, that this is a forum that houses topics ranging from A to Z.. and that as long as said topic is within the rules and TOS, then it will be discussed. If you feel that a topic has been done to death, or you don't want to discuss it, then you don't have to reply in that topic.

Regardless of the subject, people will always have differing opinions.. which is what would make any topic controversial.. it can be about anything really, whether it is Meat-eaters vs. Vegetarians, Science vs. Religion, Mario vs. Sonic, Pepsi vs. Coke, Democrats vs. Republicans or Mac vs. PC. You can't just expect to say whatever and have no one reply to it, or disagree with it.. because it just doesn't work that way.

You have to be able to discuss things calmly and rationally, and without making things personal.. which is why things went down the way they did and why you were warned. "Fun stuff" gets discussed all the time, just because you don't think that a particular topic is fun, doesn't mean that it isn't fun for anybody else. The fact that we have many different personalities here I believe, only re-enforces that point. BDX might have fun discussing politics and religion, whereas AJ might have fun discussing Games and Dating.. I might have fun discussing Fashion and Computers, while VZ might have fun discussing Anime and GFX.. etc etc.. apparently, we wouldn't be the only ones as each area here has thousands of posts. If people weren't interested in these subjects, then there wouldn't be as many posts and those areas would not be here.

Another thing that you have to understand is that we will always end up having new topics dealing with the same thing.. why you ask? Because we have new members here. Trust me, I've seen it and I've been here since the beginning.

We had 2005 members coming in and starting the same topics the people from 2004 did, and we had members from 2006 starting the same topics that the members from 2005 did.. and so on and so forth.. and just like we have had the same up until now, the same will happen again from the wave of 2009 members.

You are no exception yourself because it was exactly what you did when you first got here. As big as this forum is, and the fact that the search feature on this host does NOT work, and hasn't for years, then this will only aid in facilitating topic redundancy, as it is not fair to expect new members to sift through pages and pages of topics in each forum to find the same one that was or might've been posted years ago. Especially if, it is a HELL of a lot easier to just start a new one, and trust that if a staff member comes across it, then they will MERGE the topic with the older one.. (which is EXACTLY what happens here.)

Lastly, I'd like to point out that members here are not given warnings or bans for having a difference of opinion. If that were the case then no one would be here.. these things are only given out if and only if they were in breach of the rules. So if you were warned for something, then there is a reason behind it, and it is always related to the rules, and nothing else.

At any rate, welcome back. It's good seeing you again. :)

Nice to see you back Techno. I understand that you felt upset, but it's good to see you active on HC again.

technogeek - January 17, 2009 12:50 AM (GMT)

Black Angel - January 17, 2009 01:05 AM (GMT)

BlackDevilX - January 17, 2009 05:09 AM (GMT)
BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN BAN.

j/k sup. I think the problem was like you said, that you cant handle difference of opinion.

Also as for the sex topics, hey maybe we give good advice.

But welcome back anyways dood.

technogeek - January 17, 2009 03:28 PM (GMT)
it hurts to tell the truth or to admit but i think your right bdx....theres certain differances in opinion i can't handle.....anyway while i was gone i've noticed this forum has been pretty inactive....well lets fix that.

Actually it seemed fine to me, what with Alligators with record labels and the discussion of Dissidia and whatnot.
