Anyone see this yet? I saw it, and even thought it was good, ill just say it was biblical.

ClockHass - April 19, 2009 06:45 PM (GMT)
Nah, I can't watch anything with Nicholas Cage in it unless you force me to.

BlackDevilX - April 19, 2009 08:59 PM (GMT)
What?? Why not!. I have only one thing to say to you.

Face-Off.

ClockHass - April 19, 2009 11:43 PM (GMT)
He's just too monotone for me. =/

BlackDevilX - April 20, 2009 02:12 AM (GMT)
I agree on that aspect, that he always sounds the same and seems to have the same personality, but his movies are good. Some of em atleast. Which brings me ot my point.

He's an asshole.. but other than that, he is a pretty good actor.. I thought that too until I saw ghost rider..

anyway, I haven't seen this movie yet..

I really want to see this movie. It seems to have a pretty good storyline.

VirusZero - April 22, 2009 01:17 AM (GMT)
Nicholas Cage? ARGH, NO.

I think he's a pretty poor actor actually. Like pointed out, he is quite monotone. But even in many of the roles he is cast as, it feels like you could cut and paste any of his roles from one movie into any other movie he has done, and it'd probably work and make sense. Though this may be at fault of the script writers in part, the actor playing the role also can have drastic effects on how people react to the character.
I say this because he delivers virtually everyline with the same accent, the same monotone, the same attitude of "I'm much to important to do this..." which is purely obnoxious and utterly infuriating. I'm sure that most people could do better, even if they have no theatrical training whatsoever.

The only good thing about the ghost rider movie was when Nicholas cage caught fire.

lmao. Never seen that movie, but if there's any scene I'll be watching it'll be that one!

He wasn't actually monotone in 9/11 though.. I'll give him that. He actually had to scream! Amazing!

Let's do it.

I'll save you the pain of actually watching the movie... Just watch this clip and you'll see virtually everything that is good about the ghost rider movie.

Even if there was one movie he wasn't monotone... it doesn't atone for the rest of his movies.

Nick Cage plays the same character in every movie, with the exception of when he's a CGI animated Spirit of Vengeance. And even so that was only for like a quarter of the movie. Give Marvel another four years and hopefully we'll see a respectable Ghost Rider reboot with Dan Ketch being the main character.

But as far as Knowing goes, I thought it was a very good concept. But then I saw Mr. Cage appear on screen and I knew exactly where it was going to go. I'll make a short video of my Nick Cage impersonation if you want me to. It pretty much sums up his entire career.
