Right... you may of heard of the recent Guitar Hero expansion to come out


It's called Guitar Hero : Smash Hits

Now allow me to explain.

What they're doing is they're picking a selection of the best, old songs from the game and remaking them, so they're played with the new graphics and most importantly with the band

Old Guitar hero was guitar only!

Now this idea is engenius! Surely? We get to play all our old favourite songs with the whole band! What could be better...

Yeah sure...

There's not voting system to decide what songs we get, but only one to find out which set list will be released next (So we get to decide which ones we get to know). So we don't get to decide...

This was all great and everything when i first heard of it.

When I got GHWT i was saying "There should be a game with all the best songs from the old games so i can play them!" (Trust me i was saying that to all my friends)

But now it's starting to seem like a bugger

There's lots of songs on GH1 that i want which aren't included. But that's ok... I have GH1 and i'm glad with most songs that are on there

But Iron Man and Symphony of Destruction isn't on there... and they were epic songs!

GH2 has only one song i know in it... Sweet Child o' Mine... and EVERYONE wants that to be in GHSH (that's Guitar Hero Smash Hits) but apparently it's not going to be in there!

Now i'm worried for the setlist of GH3 stuff that they're going to ruin it and not put all the great ones from there on it.

I'm still going to buy it because there's a lot of songs on there I'll enjoy... and new songs I'm looking forward to trying.

But for pete's sake they've missed some completely epic songs




This now brings me to my next point... Downloadable Content (DLC)

Atm in GHWT (Guitar Hero World Tour) there is a music store where you can buy new songs for the game...

Would it not be great to do that with GHSH so we can buy the songs not included with the first release

But in the GH forums there are people expressing doubts about that as they believe "It'll take away business from GHWT, which is their main game"

At the same time people will want the songs they're adding in

They'll make lots of moneys from sales over the store and i don't see why they shouldn't

I'm worried they'll miss out on Monsters and Cult of Personality from the GH3 set list
