ok every1 first off, BDX has NOT left the forum ok? he has just confirmed it.

secondly, due to the recent absences of our ever-so-busy admins, MajinTobias will be promoted to admin.

he is here more often than we are.
he was one of the first mods appointed by bdx.
he has a cool avi....(ok just kidding :lol: )
we feel that Majin is a trustworthy and responsible individual.
and lastly, he has some ideas that may help this forum.

of course, Majin's promotion means that we have an opening for a mod.
however, due to the recent inactivity of the forums, lately we feel that that
is something that should be discussed later on once the forum become more active.

knew he wouldnt leave,but yeah it does seem logical to have MajinTobias as a admin, ( btw congrats MajinTobias ) as for a mod since the board doesnt have like 800 topics why do we need another mod?

well yeah, you have a point, however some body's gotta keep watch if tesm, bdx and myself aren't here right? If in the event that the forum becomes active again we probably promote one or two of you.. B)

yes but until that happens no point in having needless mods

correct, we must slowly fold back and slowly expand again. inflation was our last problem.

that and the fact that it could use 1 or 2 new topics... maybe majin is right, maybe we should resurrect some of the old topics that got the most replies and start responding to them... B)

btw, i changed the name from "before you post anything" to S.S.A. Community"
"please read before posting" to "law" (because it deals with rules)
"court room" to "order" (since that would be where order is kept)
and i created a "news and feedback" area but i think i'll name it to "announcements and feedback" what do you think? B)

thats good, just change a little bit at a time. but as fro name changes, doesnt matter long as the meaning is clear.

hey ya deserved it, we understand you do whats best for here, and as for keeping it alive, it wont be too hard, as long as a few people post here with regularity we'll be fine. and when BDX returns things will be even better.

well i saw a few old members today... i think it was "flame the hedge hog..." he posted a response to an old thread.. however, i saw we do the changes now and then mass email every1 telling them about the new changes.. and well go from there. B)

We shouldn't shove it down there throats, but mass email sounds good.

is it wrong to make the changes then mass everyone and tell them "hey come check out the new revamped Super Smash Allstars forum" ?

its not like we're sending it to them 9 times, and they did sign up to this place knowing that they have become a part of something much bigger, and they cant just abandone it when ever they feel like doing so, (well there are vaild excuses, ie family emergency)

Okay me an Alisha were Pming eachother about mods and she brought up VirusZero. I agreed he's here a lot and deserves to be compensated so I gave him ModShip in a couple places. Congrats, and if any other Admins think I did wrong with the Mod options feel free to edit them?

i know of a few but most of them are in java... i know a little about java because i "skinned" no.. "decorated" my forum with java.. the snow effect, the jukebox...

My friend put a snow effect on his site during Christmas. It was radical.

javascript is almost like actionscript, there are a few differences but other than those you learn one and the otherone is that much simpler.
