Personally, I believe there are some things that should not be toyed with.. i mean havent we played GOD enough already? we have already had our hands in things that well.. should not have been, and while some have turned out for good, some have become worse. i believe that there are things that should not be meddled with and this is one of them. but that aside, i think that people should be happy that they are able to conceive and give birth to healthy children, instead of trying to change them before they are born.. especially when there are a LOT of people out here who are willing to give a child all the love and support that it needs, but just cannot conceive.. This is a life we are talking about here.. not a steak you want to send back because you asked for 'rare' and they gave you 'well done' i just don't think its right..

That is just as bad as couples, buying the ova of supermodels for their physical attributes.. quite frankly, it wouldnt matter to me one way or another, my child is my child and i will love them unconditionally regardless of their gender, sexual preference or what they look like.

Mind you, i am very well aware that there are some extenuating circumstances, (for example, in some countries where there could be more girls born every year than there are boys, which would spell trouble for a current over-population problem) however, there are just some things that one shouldn't tamper with..

I think if people could do that it wouldn't be the same thing....the whole point on having a baby is to love him when is out into this freakin world....wheter it is a boy or a girl.......but that's my opinion........

I wouldn't care what gender my children are, I'll love them and treat them equally, it dosen't matter to me, but still, unless the parents don't want a particular gender child they shouldn't choose.

I'ma have to say I agree with this. I know someone who has three girls and they pretty much live life like boys. I understand that we're trying to have too much control over life now but if you're a parent and you want a boy(Or girl, vice-versa) and you keep getting girls(Boys vice versa), some people might be a little desperate to do something to ensure their family name will continue.

I think that as a parent, you should be happy that you are able to have children, instead of trying to change them before they are here..

I mean, if they want a boy all that bad, then why not adopt?

I would adopt a child, even if I were able to conceive naturally.. and could afford it.

Well you have to put yourself in otheres shoes. Insted of thinking its unethical for you, try to think why people wouldn't think its unethical

Maby theres a REALLY bad desises you'd rather your kids not inherit. Personally, speaking as a luthern, I think there IS a limit that is too far, but as a speciese I don't think were anywhere NEAR that limit.

Personally I wana have two kids, a boy and a girl. I wana have a boy beceause I feal that as an only child that I need to carry on my bloodline, however I have always wanted a girl aswell. I just would like both. ^^
I guess thats not a great reason, but if I try and put myself in their shose thats why I would do it.
