Ideas?, not exactly rocket science here..

what are your ideas on restoring activity on the forum?

one of mine.. include hosting bdx's flash else where and then linking it directly to here so if any one wants to see bdx's flash (in case ng takes the earlier series offline to make room) they can watch it here like they can his previews..

that seems like a good idea, newgrounds is pretty unpredictable afterall.

well i say send a message to all the members to see if they want to come back (or find out if they forgot their passwords/ lost the address/been having family or life issues)

maybe a newer look would help attract the people, i dunno how much you suggest people visit this forum but maybe you could try putting it up on google (or eqivalent) if you havent done that already, have you tried joining with other forums that share a common interest? (making like a flash web ring?)

those are all very good ideas.. however about the avatar thing you dont have to make your own... you can always use a pic of your own to upload... but we'll look into it and see what we can do

i think bdx should redo his sonic smilies and his chaos emeralds in photoshop so you dont see the white boxes.. and give them a transparent background that way the stand out from the darker backgrounds giving it a 3d look... i have a plugin that turns white into transparency

its not even that hard, could do it in fireworks, be as simple as removing the white, set the tolerance on the wand tool and just remove the white. and control+z if you make a mistake.

maybe mine isnt a good example but i made it not specifically for an avatar (infact im not sure why i created it, bored i guess) but when your setting your options you could set an avatar that is common to the site. (one that was set by the admins as an alternative)

needless to say, when we post the games, i m going to make it so that the post counts wont increase when posting high scores. that way ppl dont just post random numbers to increase their post count. and members who contributed with games of their own making should get 60 post points.

Here's another idea? How about an IBSstore? You get your currency from posting and getting high scores in games and such. Then you can buy things like name effects and if there were a bank you could store your currency and collect rings from interest.

Hey, Ultimate Flash Sonic was a remake and it was good.
Besides they'll be judged first before post counts are increased. (Or I'd hope so.)

ok that makes sense, but yeah ultimate flash sonic was good, someone put alot of time into that. but it was a remake but i mean like make a basic template (ie a quiz) and like just change the answers/questions to resubmit it as a different game?
