If you are concerned about the context with which we discuss Sex and Relationships on this forum, or are unsure as to whether or not these discussions violate the TOS of your host, then please read this.

If you are reading this, then chances are, you are staff at a forum, where we advertised, and are curious about what this forum is about.. and are wondering if this forum violates the TOS of your host.

Lets get one thing straight, this is NOT a 'sex' forum, this a general forum, where we discuss a wide range of topics, one of which happens to be sex. the topics are for mature (meaning non 'x-rated') discussion only..

The members are warned that if they post links to anything that violates the TOS, that they will be banned and then reported to their isp, for abuse of service. Because our forum is bound by the IF/ZB TOS, and U.S. Law, this forum must comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, or C.O.P.P.A. which states that users under the age of 13, are prohibited from accessing this or any forum.

And as such, the content of our forum must be appropriate for said thirteen year olds. The subject matter, and the context with which we address these topics is no different than what they would be reading about in school, a newspaper, or in a magazine catered to teens.

The T.O.S. of our host, as well as SpreeBB, and Proboards all indicate that the discussion of things that are illegal, (such as cracking, warez, appz, etc..) and sexual material, (such as pornography, erotica, and nudity,) aren't allowed.

QUOTE (Invisionfree TOS)

For IF Admins:

QUOTE (Black Angel @ August 4, 2007 05:34 PM)
I asked this question before, but it was deleted due to the server crash, and I am asking again because I am going to add a mini FAQ, to the "What is this place?" page on my forum.

1. I understand that the tos states that it prohibits nudity and porn or similar things, however my question is if these sample posts about sex would be a TOS violation?

QUOTE
...I think that everyone namely teenagers, put a big deal on sex, I was talking to this 13yo from h.h. and he was saying how hes "got to have it" my thing is kids are having sex too young nowadays, and I think its sad, however, the media is not without blame, theres tv, music, and movies.. there are also websites like steakandcheese, and newgrounds.. the newgrounds forums are laden with this sort of thing and I think its disgusting really.. these things, of course put the idea into their head that its ok to have sex when you are 11 and 12.. and I think its sad, these kids only go by what they see, they think that sex will mean big changes and so, they do it without having any knowledge of its consequences.. and even if pregnancy doesnt occur, there are consequences from it...

QUOTE

How young is too young to have sex?  i think any age under the age of 16 is absolutely disgusting. anyone who does it at any age below 16 needs their head examined but thats just me..

QUOTE
I think that it is possible for a woman to be just as much a horndog as a man.. all of this "a woman is supposed to be like this" or "a man is supposed to be like that" is a bunch of b.s. to me. It is stereotyping, and is just as bad as saying that all Blacks listen to rap, and like to steal, etc..

I say that a woman's sex drive can be just the same as a man's, if not, higher, due to the hormone surges that occur each month during menstruation, or during pregnancy.. it is just a social myth that we'd all like to believe that a woman's sex drive is lower than a man's..

I think that the reason so many believe that a man's sex drive is higher, is because men are more open about sex, and look at their openness for what it is.. and generally, women are the ones who have a problem with it, or admitting that they have the same desires, or think about sex as often as men do.. meh.. it's probably why a lot of men think that all women are crazy..

QUOTE
If it is cyber sex with the person you are dating or in a relationship with then fine.. all it is is masterbation with a keyboard.

In all honesty, I really don't see how cyber sex can work.. I mean, you'd be better off with Hustler or Playboy if that was the case.. however, I would certainly not engage in online behavior such as that anyway.

I'd consider it cheating and I would most definitely leave him.. if there was something wrong in our relationship, and he resorted to cyber sex with another person, as opposed to talking to me about the problems in our relationship, then that would mean that he neither loved nor respected me or our relationship enough to address the issues, and work on them together.

QUOTE
I wouldn't leave over the cybering, but it is a great disrespect to the relationship you have with the person. You are still involving another person, and have some contact with them even if it isn't physical.

Would you be ok with it if they were doing the same thing with that person, in person? Even if they didn't touch each other?

For me, that is what it all comes down to.. I wouldn't be ok with it if he was doing this in front of the person in real life (even if they didn't touch each other) , and I wouldn't be ok with it online where they can't touch each other.

As I said, there would have to be something wrong in the relationship if they chose to resort to this kind of behavior.. and if they chose to do this instead of talking to me about our problems, then that shows a great deal of disrespect to me as a person, as well as our relationship, and that would be more than enough reason to leave.

I have asked on PB, SBB, and they have said that it wasn't and I am [again] asking this question here, this way I can quote the responses, and link to the topic this way those visiting my site (as a result of a posted ad,) can see that I am complying with the TOS, of the host of the forum that I advertised at.

Thank you in advance for the help.

The original question (saved cache from Google..) which was posted before the crash can be found here. I saved it, and it was uploaded to a web host. This has not been modified.

For the ProBoards Admins:

Response from Martyn Dale of ProBoards:

QUOTE (Martyn Dale @ January 25, 2006 06:16 AM)
If the discussion is as you said its fine, as its not explicit in anyway, its nothing differnt really to any news article you will find on teenage pregnancy etc.

I would however be careful with such discussions, as they can very easily stray into the area which isnt allowed

I don't think these sort of topics break the TOS as they are. While the TOS does prohibit "mature" content I think its directed at content that would cause offence.

I don't feel this would and I would be inclined to aggree with your existing board host.

As with most board services we reserve the right to modify the usage policy as SpreeBB's situation dictates.
