I auto-hide my taskbar because I like to see as much screen as possible, true it isn't that large, but it's just such and eyesore for me to have to look at all the time. It bugs me.

I always have multiple windows up so I never hide it.

Taskbar stays for me, cause with multiple apps/windows open it is easy to get lost, and alt+tab is kinda slow in comparison to the task bar.

Yes. That bar on top of every window drives me nuts..
