I have few tips:
1. Use frame rates between 20-30 fps. It makes movie smooth but not too much.
2. Try to animate characters' moves fast to make battles more effective.
3. Try experimenting with diffrent special effects and sprites to improve your animating skills.
4. Be patient in creating flash movie. It takes much time but the effects can really satisfy you.
5. Never steal someone's work. Or you shall go to flash hell where motion tweens are eating your liver and action script keeps you in tremendous burning pain!
6. Watch movies of other great artists to gain experience in flash movie making.
