The COPPA Registration form

Ok guys i've been thinking about this COPPA form. First off the coppa form is a form that places an age limit on the forum because of the invsionfrees T.O.S.

Howvwer i have been rehtinking the peoople who lied their way on here who are younger then 13. For those who have, Your ban will be lifted, because one reason. I am not liable for anything you see, or hear or view on this site. The coppa form is a gateway. If you lie your age through its no longer my responsiblity, because there is an age restriction. We dont have time to go through each member and find out whos older and whos not. Point is We trust you to give us your correct age. Point is after you surpass those coppa forms, were no longer liable for anything you see. In other words its basically a free ride for those who are under 13 and are in here. And thanx to Mr Clicntions IPPA or osmething like that Nobody cannot start looking at this site of sonic and megaman and sue me because your invading my area. So those who are under the age of 13 and on the site, dont worry about it, because we dont get introuble. you do.

Even though we are aware that some will lie their age to get on here, we cannot be held liable if they choose to do so, however, if we know which users are underage, we have to ban them, or we will lose this forum.. and by encouraging these users to lie their age to get on here is a direct violation of the T.O.S. Agreement and it makes us every bit as liable as they are for doing it.. You may think IF has no way of checking up on this forum but that is where you are wrong.. the owner (Brandon/Duffman) has his means of checking up on this or any IF forum, even if registration here were by invitation only.. so i think that it is better to be safe then sorry.. if someone who lies their age to be here, then they are liable, not us, and are therefore commiting a felony.. however, if we find out about it, whether they admit their true age or not, then it is our responsibility to ban them until they reach the minimum age allowed to be here.. here are some links in case you think i am making this up...

In this topic Brandon says so himself that users under the age of 13 are not allowed on any forum, unless you receive a fax from their parents giving them consent.. (<= click.)
This is a topic i started in regards to another forum whose staff encourages the members to lie their age.. so they can register to the forum. (<= click.)

again, i am not being a hardass about this, i am only trying to ensure that you have a forum to chill at.. and the only way that can happen is if this board stays TOS/COPPA compliant..

it's your forum you can do what you want, but keep in mind the coppa is out to keep underage people off here, and besides do you really want a bunch of 10 year olds spamming up the board with "wHeN iS fFxS 6 goNNa bE out?" and "t3cah m3 2 use falsh k?" ( i do not say all 10 year olds do this but there are alot that do. )

and plus it protects us by from getting board deleted and/or having to face any possible legal issues.
